Forza Horizon 6 (join our FH6 Countdown)Â brings major changes to how players connect across different platforms. Cross-play and cross-save functionality allow you to race with friends regardless of which device they own. This guide covers everything about Forza Horizon 6 cross-play compatibility including which platforms support it and when the feature goes live.
Is Forza Horizon 6 Cross-play?
Yes, Forza Horizon 6 supports full cross-play across all platforms. Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Steam players can race together from day one when the game launches on May 19, 2026. Premium Edition buyers get early access starting May 15 and can play with anyone else who owns the Premium Edition regardless of platform.
PlayStation 5 does not have a confirmed release date yet. However, Playground Games confirmed that whenever the PS5 version launches later in 2026, it will already have cross-play enabled. This means PS5 players can immediately join Xbox and PC players in races without waiting for a separate update. The cross-play feature works automatically, requiring no special setup or configuration from players.

Does Forza Horizon 6 Have Cross-Save?
Forza Horizon 6 includes full cross-save support across all platforms. This marks the first time any Forza Horizon game offers this feature. Your save data automatically syncs between Xbox Series X|S, PC via Xbox app, Steam, and eventually PlayStation 5. Play on any device and your progress carries over instantly to every other platform you own the game on. Cross-save works alongside cross-play letting you switch platforms freely while maintaining your full progression and still playing with the same friends.
