Electric cars are becoming a much bigger part of Forza Horizon 6, as the game now includes everything from hypercars and drift builds to SUVs and pickup trucks with fully electric powertrains. Unlike traditional combustion cars, EVs feel noticeably different to drive because of their instant torque and smooth acceleration. As a result, many electric cars offer some of the fastest launch and acceleration stats in Forza Horizon 6. In this guide, we cover all Forza Horizon 6 electric cars, their stats, prices, classes, and how EVs differ from standard cars.
What Are Electric Cars in Forza Horizon 6?
Electric Cars in Forza Horizon 6 use battery-powered motors instead of traditional combustion engines. Because of this, EVs behave differently compared to normal cars in several ways:
- instant torque delivery
- very fast launches
- unique sound design
- simplified transmission systems
- regenerative braking systems
Most EVs focus heavily on acceleration and launch performance rather than top-end speed.

How Electric Cars Work Differently
1. No Displacement or Fuel System
Electric vehicles do not have a traditional displacement stat like combustion-powered cars.

Instead, upgrades mainly improve:
- motors
- battery systems
- power delivery
- handling
- suspension
This makes EV tuning feel slightly different compared to standard builds.
2. Transmissions are Different
Most EVs use either:
- one-speed transmissions
- two-speed transmissions
This gives them extremely smooth acceleration with very little gear shifting. Electric vehicles also feature unique speedometers that display:
- Regenerative Braking (RGN)
- Power Mode (PWR)

Best Electric Cars in Forza Horizon 6
Best Overall EV: 2021 Rimac Nevera
The Rimac Nevera is easily one of the fastest electric cars in the game. Its acceleration feels absolutely brutal during highway races and sprint events, while the launch performance makes it incredibly difficult to beat off the line.
Best Affordable EV: 2023 Hyundai IONIQ 5 N
The Hyundai IONIQ 5 N offers surprisingly good performance for such a low price. It is one of the best beginner-friendly EVs for players who want strong AWD grip and decent acceleration without spending too many Credits.
Best Drift EV: 2020 Lotus Evija Forza Edition
The Lotus Evija Forza Edition is one of the most fun EVs for drifting. Unlike many electric cars that focus on grip, this one feels loose, playful, and surprisingly good during Drift Club Japan events.
Best Utility EV: 2021 Rivian R1T
The Rivian R1T is a great all-rounder for exploration and off-road activities. It works especially well for:
- XP Board hunting
- Discover Japan exploration
- collectible runs
- off-road driving
Personally, I think electric cars are a really fun addition to Forza Horizon 6, especially because of how fast and futuristic they feel. For example, launching cars like the Rimac Nevera or Lotus Evija feels completely different compared to normal combustion cars. In fact, some of the EV hypercars are genuinely insane to drive because of their instant acceleration and smooth power delivery.
At the same time, I do think several EVs start feeling a bit too similar during longer play sessions since many of them rely heavily on instant torque instead of unique engine sounds or gear shifts. Because of this, traditional combustion cars still feel more varied overall, especially for players who enjoy engine audio, shifting, and detailed tuning personality.
Final Thoughts
Electric cars in Forza Horizon 6 range from tiny city EVs to million-credit hypercars and extreme track toys. Whether you want pure acceleration, exploration vehicles, drift builds, or futuristic hypercars, the EV lineup offers a surprisingly wide variety of driving styles.
