Galaxy S25 May Introduce Even More AI Features That Haven’t Leaked Yet

Many smartphone brands have started embracing AI features, but it was Samsung that truly set the trend in motion with its Galaxy AI suite on the Galaxy S24. Notably, Samsung still leads the pack, offering more AI than any other. Yet, with the upcoming Galaxy S25, rumors suggest even more groundbreaking AI features are coming—features that haven’t even been leaked or anticipated so far.

Samsung Holding Back New AI Capabilities for Galaxy S25

As per the leaks, Samsung’s Galaxy S25 series will be revealed later this month, on January 22. The phone will carry on all the existing Galaxy AI features, including Circle to Search, Writing Assist, Live Translate Call, Generative Edit, Browsing Assist, and more.

A recent leak also suggests the Galaxy S25 series will get a free trial of a Gemini Advanced, just like the Pixel 9 lineup. But that’s not all. Samsung is allegedly adding more features to its AI suite with the Galaxy S25, according to popular leaker Ice Universe.

He mentions, “Samsung Galaxy S25 will tell Apple what leading AI is. Many new AI functions of the S25 have not been leaked so far, which is very surprising to me.” He further adds that most functions of the Galaxy S25 Ultra have not been leaked and that Samsung will outdo Apple in the AI race (it already is, anyway).

Considering that the Galaxy AI on the Galaxy S24 series already outperformed the underwhelming Apple AI on the iPhone 16, and with the S25 Ultra set to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite with its Hexagon NPU and enhanced on-device capabilities, we expect the new phones to handle most tasks directly on the device.

At the end of the day, these are still very much speculation. But then again, I’d prefer to see something that takes control of my phone for me, maybe book me an Uber or order me food without me having to put in much effort. Or maybe we could see an upgraded Bixby, which is long overdue.

Samsung will reportedly launch the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra at the Galaxy Unpacked event on January 22, 2025. That’s when we’ll also see the new AI features unveiled.
