Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 Launch Date Revealed

Based on a report from Joongang, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 will launch on a date sometime in July this year. The South Korean giant will unveil its next-generation foldable in New York this time.

Furthermore, for those unaware, the Galaxy Unpacked event for the Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 was held on July 10, 2025. While the report does mention the date, it states early July, so we can expect it to be the first week of July.

Interestingly, the Unpacked event is returning to New York after three years since it was last held in 2022. This was the time when Samsung announced the Z Fold 4 and the Z Flip 4. The company unveiled the Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 in Paris last year, while Z Fold 5 and Flip 5 were revealed in Seoul.

Moreover, the report claims Samsung could also announce its first Android XR headset called Project Moohan. The Galaxy Watch 8 series is also likely to debut at the event.

And since affordable phones are all the rage these days, Samsung is likely to introduce a cheaper version of the Z Flip 7, the Z Flip 7 FE. We could also get more details about the S25 Edge and a first glimpse of the company’s tri-fold phone.

Z Flip 7 to Get a Bigger Inner Screen

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Fold 7 will improve on their predecessors with bigger screens. Starting with the Flip 7 will boast a 4-inch cover display that will go edge-to-edge just like the Mi Mix Fold.

Similarly, the inner screen will be bigger at 6.85 inches with a significant reduction in the crease. It will have a dual camera setup on the back with a 50-megapixel primary and a 12-megapixel ultrawide lens.

Sadly, there is no telephoto lens, unlike some other flip phones that do offer one. Furthermore, you can expect a 12-megapixel selfie shooter on the front.

As far as the Z Flip 7 FE is concerned, it will be cheaper than the Flip 7 and offer the same design as the Z Flip 6. Furthermore, the Z Flip 7 FE will use the Exynos 2500 chipset and could launch later this year along with the tri-fold.

Z Flip 7 Will be the Thinnest Foldable From Samsung

The Z Flip 7 will boast a sizeable 4,300mAh battery, although the charging speed will still have a measly 25W limit. Coming to the Z Fold 7, it will have a 6.5-inch cover display and an 8.2-inch inner screen.

This is an upgrade over the 6.3-inch and 7.6-inch screens on the Z Fold 6. Furthermore, the Z Fold 7 will be the thinnest fold from Samsung yet, measuring 4.5mm when unfolded and 9.5mm when folded.

For photography, you can expect a new 200-megapixel camera and a 12-megapixel camera. Moreover, you can also get a 12-megapixel ultrawide-angle lens and a 10-megapixel telephoto sensor.

Inside, you get a 4-megapixel under-display camera on the cover display apart from a 10-megapixel selfie camera on the cover screen.

Both the Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 will use the new Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage on the base variant. Other features include IP48 rating, stereo speakers, and 7 years of OS updates.
