Details of All Garden Tower Defense Modes and Their Rewards
There are four Garden Tower Defense modes. You can find their stations in the lobby. Each station has a player pad that teleports you to the battlefield. Here is the list of all modes:
- Classic Mode
- Survival Mode
- Endless Mode
- PvP Mode
Besides the above, the developers also add time-limited modes for events. These modes usually reward event-themed currencies. For instance, the Halloween Spotlight update of 2025 brought the Graveyard mode, where you can earn event-themed Candy Corns as rewards.
That said, here are the details of all permanent game modes in Garden Tower Defense:
1. Classic Mode

Classic is the default game mode in Garden Tower Defense. It contains six maps of increasing difficulty. Here is the list:
- Garden: Easy
- Enchanted Jungle: Normal
- Tropical Island: Hard
- Toxic Facility: Insane
- Back Garden: Impossible
- Dojo: Apocalypse
You can play each map in multiple levels of difficulty. Each Garden map offers four difficulties: Easy, Normal, Hard, and Insane. The Enchanted Jungle, Tropical Island, Toxic Facility, and Back Garden maps have an additional Impossible difficulty. And, the Dojo map offers two more levels of difficulty: Impossible and Apocalypse. The number of waves increases with the level of difficulty.

The Survival mode’s map is called Islands, and they are of dungeon difficulty. There are four Islands or levels that you can play in five difficulties: Easy, Normal, Hard, Insane, and Impossible. You can unlock the second level by completing the first, and so on. Each difficulty has 40 waves, so you must complete 160 waves to complete a run and win rewards.
You can get Seed and tower rewards by completing each level, with higher difficulty granting better rewards. Here is the list of all four levels and the rewards each offers:

3. PvP Mode

As the name suggests, you compete against another player in PvP Garden Tower Defense mode. You can go to the PvP station, enter one of the player pads, wait for another player to join you, and teleport to the map to start the match. There will be two bases, one for you and another for the opponent. Both of you will face 50 waves in your bases, and the player whose HP reduces to zero first will lose the match.
Before starting the match, you can ban five units, and the opponent does the same. You must place your towers to defend against the spawning enemies, like in other modes. In addition to that, you can send eight enemies and four bosses to your opponents’ base to attack them. Each usable enemy unlocks at a specific wave. Here are the details:
| Wave | Unlocked Enemies/Bosses | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| 2 | Beetle | 20$ |
| 5 | Rhino Beetle | 50$ |
