- Google is rolling out its scheduled actions feature in Gemini
- It lets you schedule prompts for a specific date, time, or event.
- The feature is currently rolling out for Android users with Gemini Pro or Ultra plans.
Announced at Google I/O 2025, Google has started rolling out Scheduled Actions for Gemini. This feature allows you to run prompts for a specific day, time, or event. You can provide details about the event and when the action will take place. Here’s how the scheduled action feature works in Gemini.

What Is Gemini’s Scheduled Actions Feature?
As the name suggests, the scheduled actions let you run a prompt at the time and date of your choice. You just need to provide details for the action, and Gemini will do the rest.
This feature can be handy if you have important emails or events in your calendar. It’s best suited for a recurring action, such as daily weather updates and outfit suggestions based on the same.
It can also fetch score updates about a cricket match or the timings of an upcoming concert. Furthermore, you can get details about new cafes and restaurants or a summary of an event after it has happened.
Gemini’s new scheduling feature is more or less similar to Google Assistant’s Routines (RIP Assistant), but better. It made its debut back in 2016 and was free to all users, unlike Gemini’s scheduled actions. You must be subscribed to one of the plans.
How To Use Scheduled Actions In Gemini

Currently, it is rolling out only for Android, but you need the Gemini AI Pro or Ultra plan. There’s no clarity on whether the feature is coming for desktop and iOS users. So it’s currently available only to the ones paying those extra bucks.
Just enter a prompt such as “Provide me with weather updates for New York at 7 AM every morning,” and it will do the rest. The virtual assistant will confirm the action with the card.

Furthermore, you can manage all the scheduled actions within the Gemini app. Just tap on the “Scheduled Action” feature below your profile picture in the left pane.
Here you can pause or delete any prompts that you have running. Although you can only schedule 10 prompts at a time. And if a scheduled action is based on the location, then it only gets triggered in that specific location.
