Gemini Live, previously limited to Google Pixel and select Samsung devices, is now available on all Android phones. Users no longer need to sideload the app to access Google’s latest voice AI features. Initially, the feature required a Gemini Advanced subscription, but it is now free for all Android users.

Prerequisites and Limitations to Know

Now You Have 10 Voice Modes to Choose From

Gemini Live not only brings its voice assistant to all Android users but also expands personalization options by offering 10 unique voice modes. These modes allow you to customize how the assistant sounds, whether you prefer a calm tone or something more energetic. Here’s how you can explore and switch between these voices:

  1. Open the Gemini Live app and navigate to the Settings.
  2. Under Gemini’s Voice, browse through the available voice options.

  • Ursa: Engaged – A mid-range voice with more energy for active responses.
  • Vega: Bright – A higher-pitched voice, great for a lighter, cheerful feel.
  • Pegasus: Engaged – Deeper voice, offering a more commanding and engaging tone.
  • Orbit: Energetic – Deep voice with an enthusiastic edge.
  • Lyra: Bright – A higher-pitched voice, adding brightness to conversations.
  • Orion: Bright – A deeper tone with clarity, suited for professional interactions.
  • Dipper: Engaged – A deeper, focused voice, perfect for serious tasks.
  • Eclipse: Energetic – A mid-range voice with a lively and dynamic tone.
  • Capella: British Accent – Higher-pitched voice with a distinct British flair.

You can switch between these voices anytime from the settings, allowing you to tailor your experience based on the context or your personal preference.
