Previous leaks about the Genshin Impact 5.8 update had suggested that a new 5-star character, named either Yennefer or Ineva, may debut in the forthcoming patch. While not much was disclosed about her, leaker Team Mew claimed that she would be an Electro character focusing on the Electro-Charged elemental reaction. Following this revelation, prominent leaker Kokomi has now shared details about this upcoming character’s abilities and passive talents, which we will discuss in this article ahead.
Genshin Impact 5.8 Leaks Disclose Upcoming Character’s Elemental Skill and Burst
According to information shared by popular leaker Kokomi on Telegram, the new 5-star female Electro character, expected to be released in version 5.8, may function as a shielder and sub-DPS. They have shared details about her potential Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst, while also disclosing two of her passive talents. Moreover, they claim that the character may be called Inef, instead of Yennefer or Ineva.
Here are all the speculated abilities and talents of Inef in Genshin Impact, as per leaks from Kokomi:
Elemental Skill
Leaks suggest that casting Inef’s Elemental Skill may provide her with an Elector shield that would protect her from incoming damage. Moreover, it would bring out a summoning to the field, which may act similarly to Furina’s Ousia summons: Gentilhomme Usher, Surintendante Chevalmarin, and Mademoiselle Crabaletta. This summoning would be capable of tracking and automatically attacking nearby enemies.
Elemental Burst
Inef’s Elemental Burst in Genshin Impact is speculated to function like Fischl’s Elemental Burst. It is claimed to deal AoE Electro damage to enemies upon casting, and summoning or refreshing the duration of Inef’s summon. This would allow players to alternatively use her Elemental Skill and Burst to ensure that her summon enjoys a longer on-field duration.

A1 Passive Talent
Similar to how Nilou can trigger a unique version of the Bloom reaction, it is expected that Inef’s version of the Electro-Charged reaction will considerably differ from the original version. The leaks claim that when Inef is on the team, the Electro-Charged reaction caused by any part member will be replaced by ‘Luna Electro-Charged.’ This new variant of the reaction would summon a cloud upon enemies and override the effects of the normal reaction.
Opponents under the effects of Luna Electro-Charged will continuously take damage that scales off the Elemental Mastery of the character who triggers it. Moreover, it is also likely to be influenced by Inef’s ATK, Crit Rate, and Crit DMG stats.
A4 Passive Talent
The A4 Passive Talent of Inef would directly contribute to the damage of the Luna Electro-Charged reaction. It is expected to convert a portion of Inef’s ATK into Elemental Mastery for the active character. As such, by stacking her with ATK, players can buff the EM of her teammates, which would directly influence the damage output.
