- Aether and Lumine’s EN voice actors announce they will continue to voice the siblings in Genshin Impact.
- Leaks suggest that HoYoverse may replace the EN voice actor of Paimon in upcoming updates.
- Diluc’s EN voice actor reveals that Genshin VA strike continues regardless of the SAG-AFTRA agreement.

The SAG-AFTRA strike had been going on for a considerable period and affected several popular games, including Genshin Impact. Several English voice actors from the franchise were part of the strike and refused to work unless they had assurances regarding the usage of AI. SAG-AFTRA later entered into a tentative agreement in the second week of June 2025, ending the strike. This led many players to believe that voice lines for the in-game characters would now return to the game, and this is partly true.
Aether and Lumine’s Voice Actors Announce Return to Genshin Impact
Aether’s EN VA, Zach Aguilar, announced via an X post that he will continue to lend his voice to Aether in Genshin Impact. He revealed that while he does not have any voice lines in the upcoming version 5.7, he will voice the character in future updates. He also expressed his gratitude to HoYoverse and conveyed that he is thrilled to continue with the role.
In response to Zach Aguilar’s post, Lumine’s EN VA, Sarah Miller-Crews, confirmed that she will also come back to lend her voice to the female MC. She mentioned that she cannot wait to continue this adventure and return to Teyvat.
Fans are rejoicing hearing this announcement from the voice actors. Considering the Archon Quests feel less immersive in the English dub without voice lines, the return of the Protagonists would surely elevate the experience.
Paimon’s VA May Be Getting Replaced in Genshin Impact
Paimon’s EN voice actor, Corina Boettger, has been part of several controversies since the SAG-AFTRA strike began. She caught a lot of fire from fans regarding her reaction to the recasting of Kinich’s VA. A few weeks ago, they even announced that they would not work with HoYoverse anymore without a union, going as far as suggesting that they might be recast for it.
Yesterday, a new leak from Jelena shared an audio clip of one of Paimon’s EN dialogues in the version 5.7 quest. It appears that the character may be voiced by a new VA in the upcoming update. While the new actor tried sounding just like Paimon, fans say their voice feels more pleasant.
However, until HoYoverse announces the new voice actor officially, it is recommended to take this leak with a grain of salt.
SAG-AFTRA Strike End May Not Mean All Voice Actors Will Return
Sean Chiplock, Diluc’s EN voice actor, recently announced via a BlueSky post that the end of the SAG-AFTRA strike does not mean that the Genshin cast strike is also over. He revealed that HoYoverse is non-union and is unaffected by the outcomes of the SAG-AFTRA strike. As such, the strike may continue as long as the voice actors collectively decide against it.
