HoYoverse has announced that starting from the Genshin Impact 6.0 update, which will mark the beginning of the Song of the Welkin Moon chapter and introduce the Nod-Krai region, the system requirements for all playable devices will be increased. Considering the developer aims to improve the graphical quality of the game and further expand Teyvat’s map, it is quite understandable for them to opt for this route. Doing so will allow them to provide this title a much-needed overhaul without being bound by the specs of the currently supported devices. Let’s look at the new system requirements for various devices to run Genshin Impact starting from version 6.0.

Genshin Impact 6.0: Preview of New System Requirements for All Devices
HoYoverse has decided to raise the system requirements for Genshin Impact starting from the upcoming Nod-Krai update, which releases on September 10, 2025. The developer reveals that they are doing this to improve the game’s performance in future versions and to provide a better gameplay experience to all players. As such, they will adjust the minimum and recommended specs for all devices. While the title will still run on systems with lower specs, they will likely struggle with performance issues like frame rate drops, instability, or crashes during gameplay.
