The Ghost of Yotei release date and pre-order editions have finally been announced! Alongside the announcement, Sucker Punch also shared a 3-minute impressive trailer. Here are all the details for the Ghost of Yotei release date and pre-order editions.
Ghost of Yotei Release Date
Add this to your schedule: The Ghost of Yotei will launch globally on October 2nd, 2025, exclusively for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 5 Pro. This release date puts it in the traditional fall window for major AAA titles, avoiding the summer release timing of the original Ghost of Tsushima.
Ghost of Yotei is set in Ezo in the year 1603, over 300 years after Ghost of Tsushima happened. This time, you will play as Atsu. The new trailer, called The Onryo’s List, which you can watch above, shows Atsu’s mission for revenge. A gang called the Yotei Six killed her family and stabbed her with her own sword. She survived, trained for years, and is now back to hunt down all six.
While the story starts with revenge, Sucker Punch says it will grow into something deeper. As Atsu travels through Ezo, she will meet new allies and find a bigger purpose in her life.
Ghost of Yotei Pre-Order and All Editions Details
Pre-order for Ghost of Yotei will go live on May 2nd, 2025, at 10:00 AM in your local timezone (10:00 AM ET for those in the US). Even though pre-orders don’t open until May 2, you can add Ghost of Yotei to your wishlist on the PlayStation Store. Three different editions will be available for you to pre-order:
Standard Edition ($69.99 USD / £69.99 / €79.99 / ¥8,980)
The Standard Edition of Ghost of Yotei will include:
- The full game.
- Unique in-game mask.
- Seven PSN avatars featuring concept art of Atsu and the Yotei Six.
Digital Deluxe Edition ($79.99 USD / £79.99 / €89.99 / ¥9,980)
Ghost of Yotei Digital Deluxe Edition will include:
- The full game.

- The Snake armor set.

Last but not least, the Collector’s edition. If you are a huge fan of this series, you have to get this one because this awesome edition will include:

Ghost of Yotei builds on what made Ghost of Tsushima great, but adds a fresh main character, a new setting, and a new period. The timing of the launch is just right after Borderlands 4 (September 23rd, 2025) and possibly before GTA 6 (which might be delayed to early 2026). That timing could make it one of the biggest PlayStation games of the year.
