Gmail Now Makes It Easier to Reply on Smartphones With This Trick

Until now, tapping on the reply button in the Gmail mobile app would open the compose window in full-screen mode making it impossible to read the email thread. Furthermore, the message would instantly be saved as a draft the moment you tried to read the email.

But not anymore. Android users can now reply to emails from the bottom of the screen while still being able to read the conversation. No need to go back and forth between screens or remember the email’s content. It’s so much easier to check the email’s context while replying. You can still use the basics like attachments, replying, forwarding, changing recipients, and even tossing in some emojis.

If you’re planning to write a longer email, you can simply tap the expand button (bidirectional arrow) to access more options. If you don’t see the new reply block at the bottom, make sure to update the Gmail app on your phone.

As mentioned earlier, this feature is currently available for Android users. However, Google says this feature will be available for iOS devices later this year. For more such updates, follow us on X (Twitter).
