With Google I/O 2025 just a month away and this annual developer event is the WWDC of Android. The Mountainview giant has revealed the schedule for the event, giving us a glimpse of what to expect. Apart from the new version of Android, the Mountain View giant will reveal a few interesting things at the event. Here’s the complete schedule for Google I/O 2025.

Google I/O 2025: Android XR, Android 16 for TV, and More

Google I/O, the annual developers conference, will take place from May 20, 2025. The main keynote will start at 10 AM PST until 11:30 AM PST. The company has posted the complete schedule for the Google I/O event.

It will be followed by the developer keynote on the same day from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM PST. If it is livestreamed, the livestream isn’t working, the full session will be uploaded later.

After these sessions, the most interesting bits of Google I/O are lined up for the rest of the day. These include sessions for Chrome, the next version of Android, Google Cloud, Android XR, and more.

Here are the major sessions and what you can expect from them:

  • What’s new in Android: This session will showcase the future of Android, which is likely to include all the changes in Android 16. It will highlight all the developer-focused changes while giving us a glimpse of Android 17. Although the official description states that it will “explore new Android 16 features”. It will also help developers learn how to create apps for all form factors.
  • What’s new in Chrome: With regulatory hurdles looming over Chrome, it will be interesting to see what Google has in store for one of the most popular browsers.
  • The future is now, with Compose and AI on Android XR: Google will unveil Android XR, its Vision OS rival for Android headsets. With Samsung set to launch its Project Moohan headset soon, we will get the first look at Google’s new OS.
  • What’s new in Google Cloud: Although a developer-centric one, Google is likely to showcase the future of its Cloud platform.
  • What’s new in Google Play: This session will highlight all the new tools and updates on Google Play to let app developers grow their business.
  • What’s new in Web: This session will explore the evolution of the web to help developers track all the latest developments, including Interop 2025.
  • Build next-level UX with Material 3 Expressive: Google will unveil the next version of its Material UI design language. This is the design language used in Android and other Google apps.
  • Engage users on Google TV with excellent TV apps: Google will introduce Android 16 for TV at the I/O. It will also showcase new apps and more to showcase the future of the platform.
  • New in-car experiences: Gemini is coming to cars, and you can expect some new features for Android Auto. With Gemini integration, you could finally perform complex tasks while driving without taking your eyes off the road.
