If you've been keeping an eye out for the next GTA 6 trailer, you are not alone. Almost everyone who's a huge fan of the series are waiting, even I check for it pretty often, too. It's been a long stretch with no new footage. But after the latest earning calls on May 21, I think we are getting close now and the GTA 6 Trailer 3 release date might be closer than you'd expect. There's a specific window I'd bet on. Let me show you why I believe the third trailer is about to land, and the date I think makes the most sense.
The GTA 6 Timing Finally Adds Up
Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick just confirmed during the company's Q4 earnings call that GTA 6 is still launching on November 19, 2026 (you can check out how many days you have left until the game drops with our countdown timer). He even told the investors that the company expects around $8.2 billion in revenue next fiscal year, mostly thanks to this game.
Zelnick also said the big marketing push starts in "summertime," which he later clarified means late June or early July. It seems like it points to a summer trailer. But I think there's a sneaky detail everyone is overlooking.
When Do We Think the GTA 6 Trailer 3 Release Date Will Be?
The original GTA 6 release date shown at the end of Trailer 2 was May 26, 2026. That date is now outdated because the game got pushed to November. Of course, I don't think Rockstar Games would leave incorrect information on one of its biggest marketing videos for long.
May 26 is only three days away, which is why many fans also expect the trailer to get updated sooner rather than later.
So my gut says Rockstar might drop a short Trailer 3 right around May 26 to quietly update the old release date before it starts looking awkward.
A retail insider known as Graczardi posted in GTAForums also claims that Trailer 3 could drop as early as Tuesday, May 26, with something tied to PlayStation's State of Play on June 2. This is the same person who correctly leaked the 007 First Light Switch 2 delay and the boxed Oblivion Remastered version, so they've got a decent track record.
Looking at this information, I feel like the trailer comes first, then Sony reveals console bundles at State of Play.
So, putting everything together, I think Trailer 3 could arrive in late May or early June 2026. If that happens, we might finally get a proper look at gameplay, voice cast details, and maybe even pre-order information. That’s the stuff people have really been waiting for.
