Honkai Star Rail just gave us a first look at Amphoreus by revealing the trailer at The Game Awards 2024, and it’s shaping up to be awesome. This new region is coming in Version 3.0, likely dropping around January 2025. Here’s everything we know so far about this exciting new area.
Honkai Star Rail Amphoreus Trailer Revealed a New Region In the Game
The new trailer opens with a nostalgic touch, showing the Trailblazer and the Astral Express crew getting ready for their next travel. Before heading to Amphoreus, we get a quick look back at past adventures, such as visiting the Xianzhou Luofu and Penacony. It’s a nice reminder of how far Honkai Star Rail has come and sets the mood for the next chapter in the story.
With a stunning blue-themed landscape, Amphoreus looks incredible. The region seems to have sky-high structures that reach into the clouds, complete with buildings with ancient Greek-inspired architecture. The region’s centerpiece appears to be Okhema, a city where the mysterious Dressmaster Aglaea holds authority.
Amphoreus takes a lot of inspiration from ancient Greek mythology and culture. There are also myth references, like the River Styx connection, and some Colosseum-like battle areas. The whole vibe and look of the region really bring that ancient Greek feel to life.
Meet Castorice: Daughter of River Styx
The trailer also introduces Castorice, a new official character who’s already capturing players’ attention. Known as the “daughter of River Styx,” she’s one of the Chrysos’ Heirs and is deeply tied to the concept of death. Her role in the story seems major, hinting that she’ll be central to what unfolds in Amphoreus. The other Amphoreus characters weren’t shown in the trailer, but we might get a look at them in future promos or drip marketing.
Honkai Star Rail Version 3.0 is shaping up to be the game’s biggest update yet, bringing not just a new region but also:

- Updates to the Relic system
- Various gameplay enhancements
