All Might has always been the Symbol of Peace. But by the time of the Final War, he was a Quirkless man who could no longer punch with the force of a hurricane. Still, he refuses to sit on the sidelines. With the help of Melissa Shield, he returns to the battlefield one last time, wearing a mechanical support suit.
The recent My Hero Academia Season 8 trailer shows All Might fighting All For One in this armor. Without his Quirk, he’s pushed to his limit, but he refuses to accept defeat. However, how strong is Armored All Might really when compared to his prime days with One For All?

All Might Without a Quirk

After his final fight against All For One, All Might lost the remaining embers of One For All. Physically, he became fragile. His body was damaged from past battles and could no longer withstand the strain of heroic work. Against a powerful antagonist like All For One, a Quirkless All Might stood no chance.
This is why All Might spent nearly his entire fortune developing the support suit and accompanying tools. The project was rushed, and the equipment was never properly tested. But All Might was willing to take that risk to help the heroes during the Final War.
Armored All Might
The armor was developed by Melissa Shield, the daughter of David Shield, All Might’s close friend from his time in the U.S. It builds on tech introduced in My Hero Academia: Two Heroes, but the suit itself debuted in the manga’s final war arc and now appears in the Season 8 trailer.
The armored suit was made possible only by All Might spending almost all of his fortune. As the top hero, he had earned huge sponsorship deals throughout his career. This allowed the creation of a high-tech, modular suit equipped with over 20 support items. It also connects with his armored car, Hercules.
Strategy Over Strength

The suit is not perfect; it was rushed into battle without safety checks, but it allowed All Might to fight using gadgets, tactics, and timing. He mixes long-range laser cannons with close-range thruster punches. He even used techniques he once passed on to Deku, like Shoot Style Smash.
Each item is named after and modelled on the Quirks of Class 1-A students. From Uraraka and Iida’s thrusters to Kirishima’s defensive plating, every gadget is a tribute to his students. Even the armor’s color scheme, black and gold, is a subtle nod to his mentor Nana Shimura.
All Might’s car, Hercules, is also key to this setup. It provides mobility, support items, and even tactical A.I. coordination, much like Iron Man’s Jarvis. Together, they form the battle-ready version of All Might known as “Armored All Might.”
Compared to One For All

At his peak, All Might could level city blocks with a single punch, shrug off fatal blows, and outspeed almost any opponent. He didn’t rely on support items because he didn’t need them; his Quirk, One For All, made him the strongest man alive.
In contrast, Armored All Might is a mechanical marvel that allows All Might to fight All For One despite losing his Quirk. While the suit doesn’t have the same raw strength or endurance as One For All, it makes up for it with advanced tech.
Each piece of his suit channels the spirit of Class 1-A. With boosters modeled after Sugarman, electrical shocks like Chargebolt, and even restraints like Blackwhip and Cellophane, he turns their youthful potential into tactical advantage. The armor lets him do what no Quirkless person should be able to: hold off All For One long enough to make a difference.
More Than Just Power

Armored All Might is also a symbolic return. He may not be as strong as he once was, but his will remains unshaken. He proves that heroism is not just about having a powerful Quirk. It’s about courage, sacrifice, and hope.
Even without powers, All Might puts his life on the line to protect others. With Melissa’s design and the inspiration of the next generation of heroes, he becomes the Symbol of Peace one last time. Even at his weakest, All Might’s will is unbreakable, and his determination remains unshaken. With the right support gear, he rises to face All For One once again.
