Whenever someone calls you on your iPhone, if you have your MacBook open, you will also receive the call on your Mac. Annoying when you are watching a video or reading something and would prefer answering the call on your iPhone itself. Fortunately, you can disable calls from your iPhone on your MacBook in a few ways. You can also disable iPhone calls from MacBook’s FaceTime app. We will explain both ways below.

Disable iPhone Calls on MacBook

You can disable calls from iPhone ringing on MacBook from both your iPhone and Mac. Shouldn’t take more than a few moments either. Let’s begin with iPhone and see how to stop iPhone calls from forwarding to Mac.

Disable Call Forwarding From iPhone

1. Open Settings on your iPhone and then go to Phone.

2. Tap on Calls on Other Devices and your MacBook’s name should be listed here along with other connected Apple devices. Disable the toggle next to that to disable iPhone calls from ringing on your MacBook. You can also turn off the feature completely for all devices by turning off Allow Calls on Other Devices option.

Calls syncing between iPhone and Mac is a useful feature to have but can be annoying if MacBook begins ringing a call coming on your iPhone in the middle of something. Fortunately, you can disable iPhone calls on other Apple devices easily and from both iPhone and MacBook. You can also turn the feature on/off for all connected devices or select ones. In case you have a MacBook and an iPad, for example.

I wish there was a way to add this toggle to a widget on my Mac’s home screen somewhere.
