WhatsApp has released yet another feature for those who love to make video calls using the popular messaging app. After releasing background wallpapers and filters for videos calls, WhatsApp has added a low-light feature to improve video calls in low-light conditions like evenings or outdoors at night.

Enable Low Light on WhatsApp Video Call
The steps are simple enough. It will only work when you are on a video call and works for both selfie and back camera.
- Open WhatsApp and make a video call.
- Tap on the wand icon.
- Tap on Bulb icon to enable low light mode.
When enabled, you will see a text notification that says Low Light mode is on.

I tried the feature on my Samsung Galaxy S24 and found it to be okay. It didn’t really make much of a difference but there was some improvement. Maybe it will get better with future updates. WhatsApp’s low-light mode is also available on iPhones and iPads, but it hasn’t made it to the web app yet.
