The Cosmetic update in Grow a Garden has brought tons of new ways to decorate your plot and make it truly yours. With over a hundred different decorative items now available, you can transform your garden from a simple farming space into a personalized paradise. Whether you want cute gnomes watching over your plants or fancy signs, there’s something for everyone.
Getting your hands on these cosmetics and learning how to place them properly can seem confusing at first. But once you know where to look and how the system works, you’ll be decorating like a pro in no time.
How to Get Cosmetic Items
The easiest way to grab new decorations is through the Cosmetic Shop, which you’ll find in between the Gear Shop and Pet Eggs Shop. Look for Sam, the friendly NPC who runs the place. Just walk up and press E (or tap if you’re on mobile) to browse what’s currently available.
The shop works on a 10-hour rotation cycle, meaning new items appear regularly. Don’t expect everything to be cheap though – some of the fancier items like the Blue Well can cost up to 60,000,000 Sheckles.
How to Access Your Cosmetic Collection
Finding your cosmetics after buying them confuses many players because they’re not stored in your regular inventory. Instead, Grow a Garden uses a separate system for decorative items. Look for the Tools icon in the top-left corner of your screen. Click this to open your Cosmetic Inventory, where you’ll see all the decorations you own.
How to Move Cosmetics in Grow a Garden?
Once you’ve got your cosmetic inventory open, placing items is straightforward. Find an empty spot in your garden where you want the decoration, then simply click on the item in your inventory. It’ll appear instantly in that location. Made a mistake with placement? No problem. Click on any cosmetic item you’ve placed in your garden to bring up a three-button menu:
- Four arrows button – Move
- Curved arrow button – Rotate
- Box button – Remove
Remember that good decorations cost serious Sheckles, so focus on growing and selling high-value plants with mutations to fund your decorating spree.
