How to Manage Weather Widget on Home Screen of Samsung Galaxy Phones

Many of us nowadays like to keep track of the weather in our favorite places. Samsung Galaxy phones come with a weather app, but it’s quite a task to find the app and check the weather over and over again. If that’s the problem, adding a weather widget to your Samsung Galaxy phone’s home screen might save you precious time. Here is how you can add and set a weather widget on the home screen of Samsung Galaxy phones. You can also remove it if you want.

A weather widget on Samsung Galaxy devices is cool as well as useful since you can check the weather stats at a glance. Let’s take a look at how to add a weather widget on your home screen.

1. Navigate to the home screen on your Galaxy phone and long-press anywhere in an empty space.

2. Tap on the Widgets icon near the bottom side of the screen.

3. Scroll down the widgets page and tap on Weather to further expand it.

4. Select a weather widget by scrolling up or down and tapping on it. For example, we’re tapping on the Dynamic Weather widget.

5. Tap on Add.

6. Tap on the current location to confirm a location for the widget. This is necessary.

Set Location in Weather Widget

You can have multiple locations in the weather app, but the widget will show you the location you’ve selected for that widget. Let’s first learn how to add a location in the weather app and then how to set that location in the widget. Here are the steps to add a location in the weather app.

1. Navigate to the widget on your home screen and tap to open it.

2. Tap on the hamburger menu (three horizontal lines) on the upper left side of the screen.

3. Now tap on Manage locations to further open the locations list for the weather app.

4. Tap on + icon in the top right corner of the screen to add a location to the list.

5. Type the name of the desired city and wait for the results.

6. When the name appears, tap on it to select it. And the city’s name will appear in the locations list in the weather app.

Now that we’ve added all the desired locations, it’s time to put this on to the weather widget. Let’s take a look at the steps to do so.

You can choose to display any one of the added location’s weather on the weather widget on the home screen of your Samsung Galaxy smartphone.

1. Navigate to the weather widget on your home screen and long-press on it.

2. Tap on Settings to open the Widget Settings.

3. Near the location, tap on Change.

5. Now tap on Save to confirm the configuration for the widget.

Remove Weather Widget From Home Screen

If you don’t want to use the weather widget anymore, then you might want to remove it from your home screen. In that case, here is a quick little guide for that.

1. Navigate to the home screen where your widget is placed and long-press on it.

2. Tap on Remove to get rid of the widget from your home screen.
