Epic Games created a whole new map called Squid Grounds, and you can actually play the Red Light Green Light game from the TV series! How to Access the Fortnite Squid Grounds Map
Getting into the Squid Game map is super easy. First, go to your Lobby screen and look for the Discovery menu. Then, click on “By Epic” and you’ll see a bunch of Reload options. Pick your style:
- Reload Build (if you like building stuff)
- Reload Zero Build (no building allowed)
- Ranked Reload Build (tryhard building mode)
- Ranked Reload Zero Build (tryhard no-build mode)
You can play solo, with a friend, or with your whole squad. Whatever you want. The best part? The Squid Game map stays put until Monday, June 30th. No weird rotations messing with your practice time. However, after June 30th, the map rotation returns, and Squid Grounds will join the regular pool.

How to Play Red Light Green Light in Fortnite x Squid Game
After you enter the Squid Grounds map, you need to find the Red Greens POI. Don’t worry, it’s not hidden. We marked the location below:
When you get there, you’ll see a building with these colorful stairs going down, just like in the series. But don’t just run in! You need to be extra careful when approaching the game room, because obviously, it’s a hot drop right now, and other players will try to kill you. So watch your back.
Go down those colorful stairs and you’ll find a door. That’s your entrance to the Red Light Green Light room. But before you go in, make sure that creepy doll isn’t staring right at the door, or you’re going to be eliminated instantly.
The Giant Doll
This game works exactly like the show, and it’s just as scary. There’s this huge robot doll at the end of the room that decides if you live or die. When it turns toward a tree and starts singing, you can move. When it stops singing and looks at you, you’d better freeze like a statue. Move when you hear the song. Stop the second it ends.
Movement Strategy
Your job is to get to the red line behind the doll without getting caught. Some tips that actually work:
- Listen to the song pattern so you know when it’s about to end.
- Don’t be greedy. Slow and steady wins here.
- Stop moving before you think the song will end, not after.
- Watch other players, so you can learn from their mistakes.
If that doll catches you moving even a tiny bit when it’s looking at you, you’re going to be instantly eliminated. You lose one of your reboots, too, just like normal Fortnite. No warnings, no second chances. You move when you shouldn’t, you die. That’s it. It’s pretty nerve-wrecking, right?
Red Light Green Light in Fortnite x Squid Game Rewards
So what do you get for surviving this nightmare? Actually, some pretty good stuff! If you beat the challenge, you will be able to get 3 Rare Chests and 2 Normal Chests, so you can loot awesome weapons and items.
After you grab your loot, there’s a port-a-potty that teleports you back to the surface. This is actually super important because it gets you out fast. No walking back through areas where other players might be camping, waiting to steal your new gear.
The Red Light Green Light game in Fortnite x Squid Game collaboration is actually terrifying and fun at the same time. Remember, this is still Fortnite. People can still shoot you before, during, or after this challenge. Keep your gun ready and watch your back. Maybe clear out other players first, or bring teammates to watch over you while you do this.
