There might be times when you have logged into someone’s Chromebook and forget to sign out. As it is a Google account, you are obviously having a lot of your data in it like Photos, Payment details, and whatnot. Signout of Chromebook when you are away
Start by login to your Google account from your trusted device like your PC or smartphone. You can do that, by opening a web browser, going to Google Search > click on your profile picture >, and click on “Manage your Google Account”. Alternatively, you can click this link, to open the Google Account directly.
Now under the security tab, scroll down to find a section called “Your devices”, click on the “Manage Devices” under it.
Now select the Chromebook you want to sign out
Now click on the Signout chip and again click on Signout in the pop-up that appears.
As soon as you signed out, it will log out of the Chrome browser on the Chromebook and shows a sign-in error.
Almost all the apps you installed will be logged out, but they will be still available.
And once anyone clicks on the sign-in error option, it will log-out completely on the Chromebook and asks to sign-in back again.

Wrapping up
Though it will not automatically log people out, it is a great option to keep your data and Google account safe. But do remember that, people can still access a few apps and the data stored on the Chromebook under your account. The plus side is it will completely log out of the Chromebook directly if Chromebook is already closed.
