Does your favorite Instagram influencer speak a different language? Don’t let the language barrier get in the way, because you can translate their Instagram story, captions, and comments on their posts, and also their profile Bio on Instagram. Here is how you can translate stories, comments, captions, and even bio on Instagram.

Translating Story on Instagram

Instagram stories are unique to every user when it comes to expressing your views and sometimes these views can be in one’s native language. Don’t miss out on the fun if you don’t speak their language because Instagram now supports translation in more than 90 languages.

If you use multiple accounts on Instagram, here is how you can add and switch between them.

1. To translate an Instagram story, open Instagram on your iPhone or Android.

Instagram App on Android

2. Open any story from your feed. If it is in text in a different language than yours, then you’ll see a See translation option in the top left corner of the screen below the username.

3. Tap on the See translation option and you’ll see a translation of the text present in the Instagram story in your native language. Also present is the original story text and its original language in that pop-up.

Emojis are also present in the translated text as in the original text.

Translating Captions on Instagram

The feature has been present for quite some time and is pretty straightforward. This way, you can easily translate captions from different languages to your native language.

1. To translate captions in posts on your Instagram feed, open Instagram on your iPhone or Android.

Notice how emojis are not present in the translated text. Once you translate the text on Instagram, emojis will be removed and the same can also be seen in the translated text above.

Translating Comments on Instagram

Comments can also be translated the same way you can translate the post captions.

1. Tap on the comments icon on any Instagram post.

As is the case with post captions, emojis are not translated for comments and are removed from the translated text.

On a side note, if you’re worried about getting unnecessary and irrelevant comments on Instagram reels, stories, and posts, this is how you can limit them on your Instagram.

Translating Bio on Instagram

1. To translate the bio of an Instagram user, open their Instagram profile.

These translations are translated using the Instagram AI translation tool and are close to the original text but might not be 100% correct every time.
