Spider-Man’s Spider Tracer challenge is one of the key missions in Marvel Rivals’ Season 1 Midnight Features event. If you’re struggling to trigger the Spider Tracer 10 times, this guide will break down everything you need to know to complete this challenge efficiently.

What is Spider Tracer in Marvel Rivals?
The Spider Tracer in Marvel Rivals is more than just a fancy web icon. It is an important gameplay mechanic that can help you dominate matches. When you see a web icon floating above an enemy’s head. It means they’re marked with a Spider Tracer.
Moreover, The Spider Tracer is an essential component for completing the J. Jonah Jameson Disapproves challenge. Players must trigger Spider Tracer 10 times while playing as Spider-Man to complete this task. It is part of the fourth investigation in the Midnight Features Event.
How to Trigger Spider-Man’s Spider Tracer

To mark enemies with a Spider Tracer, first, you’ll need to use Spider-Man’s Web-Cluster (RMB) secondary weapon. Then, you’ll see the web icon appear above their head once you successfully hit an enemy. However, don’t celebrate just yet, the Spider Tracer only stays active for a short time, so you’ll need to act fast.
Simply marking enemies isn’t enough to complete the challenge. To trigger the Spider Tracer, you must follow up with specific abilities while the mark is still active. You have two options:
Abilities to Trigger Spider Tracer | Description |
![]() Spider-Power (LMB) | This ability delivers a forward punch that gives extra damage to enemies marked with a Spider Tracer. |
![]() Amazing Combo (F) | Launch an enemy into the air, dealing bonus damage to those marked with a Spider Tracer. |
Any of these abilities will trigger the Spider Tracer when used on a marked enemy, counting toward your challenge progress. When using the Amazing Combo (F) in the image below, you’ll see that after hitting it on Winter Soldier, the Spider Tracer disappears as it triggers bonus damage.

Some players suggest that you can trigger the Spider Tracer using Get Over Here (E). However, when I tested it a few times, I found that while the Spider Tracer changes the ability’s behavior, it does not actually trigger the mark. So the two options above have a better chance if you want to complete the challenge.

While you can complete this challenge in any game mode, including Quick Match and Competitive, there’s a much easier way to get it done. Here’s the most efficient method:
