Seregios is back in Monster Hunter Wilds, and this flying, scale-shooting wyvern is not playing around. If you’ve been waiting to hunt this razor-sharp beast, you’re in for a treat. But first, you need to unlock it. In this guide, I will show you how to unlock Seregios quest in Monster Hunter Wilds and take it down without getting cut to pieces.

How to Unlock Seregios Quest in Monster Hunter Wilds
Getting to fight Seregios isn’t as easy as just jumping into the hunt. You need to do a couple of things first. First, make sure your game is updated because Seregios only came with the Free Title Update 2. If you haven’t updated the game yet, you won’t even see this monster as an option.
Then, just like unlocking the Lagiacrus quest in Monster Hunter Wilds, you need to be Hunter Rank 31 or higher. This is for your benefit, though, because if you are ranking lower than that, you won’t be able to beat this monster. You also need to complete the “A World Turned Upside Down” quest. This is the story quest that opens up Seregios. You can’t skip this one, so make sure you’ve finished it before looking for the flying wyvern.

Once you’ve done all this stuff, the Seregios hunt will show up in your quest list called “Clear with a Chance of Sandstorm”. After you beat it once, you’ll start seeing regular Seregios flying around the open world.

How to Defeat Seregios in Monster Hunter Wilds
Seregios’ habitat is in Windward Plains, and this monster isn’t your regular flying wyvern. This thing has been giving hunters trouble since Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate, and it’s just as mean in Wilds. The Bleed status effect is your biggest problem. Almost every attack from Seregios can make you bleed. When you’re bleeding, you take damage every time you move, dodge, or attack. Even worse, your health won’t come back automatically like it normally does.

Seregios is super fast and quick. This monster doesn’t just fly around slowly like some others. It swoops, dives, and attacks with crazy speed. Those razor-sharp scales aren’t just for show, either; They can actually cut you up from far away.
You really need proper preparation before fighting Seregios. Here are some tips to remember:
- Bleed Resistance – This item is absolutely critical. I can’t say this enough. Without Bleed Resistance, you are going to have a terrible time. The best option is to craft and wear the Bleed Charm III.
- Thunder or Ice Weapons – Seregios is weak to both Thunder and Ice elements, so they will do extra damage. If you have captured Lagiacrus, you can even use its new weapon to hit Seregios hard.
- Target the weak spots – Seregios has several areas where you can do extra damage. The head and neck are your main targets, but the legs and tail work too.
- Healing Items – Don’t forget to bring plenty of potions and buff items.
Seregios Quest Rewards
Once you’ve successfully hunted your first Seregios, the monster will start showing up in the open world. This means you can hunt it whenever you want without having to take a specific quest. At Hunter Rank 41, you’ll also unlock Tempered Seregios. This is the 8-star version that’s even tougher than the regular one.

The materials you get from Seregios are worth the work, too. This monster drops:
- Seregios Carver (18%)
- Seregios Scraper (15%)
- Seregios Slavescale (22%)
- Seregios Airblade (20%)
- Seregios Breacher (8%)
- Seregios Impaler (8%)
- Seregios Certificate S (8%)
- Seregios Dissenter (1%)
You can craft some really good weapons and Regios armor pieces with what you collect, so don’t just hunt it once and forget about it.
Seregios is definitely one of the most challenging monsters in Monster Hunter Wilds, but it’s also one of the most rewarding to master. With the right preparation and strategy, you’ll be taking down this wyvern like a pro. Get out there and show Seregios what you’re made of!
