Several images of the Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 have been doing rounds lately. And now an unboxing video of the Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 has hit the internet confirming a design similar to Apple’s AirPods. The video first appeared on the Chinese site Bili Bili. There is also a Reddit post that confirms the same design.
This is an obvious departure from the iconic bean-shaped design that Samsung tried in their first two versions. Apple fans will have a field day on social media comparing Galaxy Buds with AirPods but it seems the design simply works. The longer stem at the bottom may help improve sound quality and battery life I think.
Buds 3 will be available in 2 colors – white and black with a transparent design for the upper lid that opens up to reveal the buds. Each bud is color-coded in blue and red respectively making it easier to recognize which one goes in which ear. Instead of a more rounded look, there seems to be an angular approach with a black line (that lights up and is called blade lights by Redditors) running down to keep it slightly differentiated from AirPods.
Both Buds 3 and Buds 3 Pro may offer active noise cancellation (ANC) and adaptive EQ, however, the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro may also offer ambient sound, adaptive ANC, and will be IP57 rated. It is also possible that to keep the price in check, Buds 3 may sport a single-driver setup while Buds 3 Pro may feature a dual-driver setup.
Sleepy Kuma, a Korean tipster, revealed that Buds 3 will be priced at around $149 which is close to what Buds 2 was priced when it launched while Buds 3 Pro will be priced at $215 tentatively. But we don’t have to wait too long as the event takes place tomorrow.
