How to Get macOS 15 Before Others

macOS 15 Sequoia is currently available as a Developer Beta, with the Public Beta expected in July and the final public release in the fall of 2024. While the Developer Beta is primarily intended for developers to test their apps, you can install it on your Mac to try out the new macOS features (except for Apple AI, which will arrive later this year).

However, before proceeding, I highly recommend backing up your Mac, or at least your important files, as this is pre-release software and may have some bugs.

To install the macOS Sequoia Developer beta, enroll yourself in Apple’s Developer program. Then go to System Settings > General > Software Update, then click the info button next to Beta updates. Choose the macOS Sequoia Developer beta and install it.

Your Mac will restart during the installation process. Once complete, you’ll be running the macOS 15 Sequoia Developer Beta.
