Marvel Rivals has another update coming on June 6th that’s worth checking out. You’re getting a brand new experimental game mode where you play from Ultron’s perspective, some fresh skins, plus a free spray just for logging in. Here are all the things coming in the Marvel Rivals 20250605 patch notes update.

Marvel Rivals 20250605 Patch Notes

Marvel Rivals 20250605 Patch Notes Update

The update launches on June 6th, 2025, at 09:00 UTC. Since there’s no maintenance this time, you won’t have to wait for servers to come back online. Check them out!

New Experimental Game Mode: Ultron’s Battle Matrix Protocol

The highlight of this patch is definitely the new experimental mode called Ultron’s Battle Matrix Protocol. Instead of playing as your usual heroes, you’ll be commanding battles from Ultron’s point of view. Think of it like playing chess, but with Marvel characters. The mode runs from June 6th to June 23rd, so you’ve got about two and a half weeks to try it out.

New In Store

Two new skin bundles are hitting the store right when the update goes live:

  • Jeff the Land SharkSunshine Land Shark Bundle gives our favorite shark a bright, summery look. This sunny theme fits perfectly with his playful personality.
  • Wolverine – Weapon X Bundle takes Logan back to his darker origins.

Both bundles become available on June 6th at 02:00 UTC, which is actually a few hours before the main update drops.

Free Login Reward: Tic-Tac-Toe Spray

If you log in between June 5th and June 12th, you’ll automatically get a free Tic-Tac-Toe Spray. You can use sprays to mark walls and surfaces during matches. The tic-tac-toe design means you and your teammates can actually play a quick game while waiting for respawns or during downtime in the spawn room. You can grab it a day before the main update even arrives.

Optimizations

This patch includes a couple of nice touches that make the game more enjoyable:

  • Loki’s illusions can now do emotes alongside the real Loki during battles. Before this, only the real Loki could emote, which sometimes gave away which one was fake.
  • You can place up to 6 sprays at once on the battlefield now, up from the previous limit.

Fixes

  • All Platforms:
    • The Jeff-Nado Team-Up Profile story gets enhanced.
  • Maps and Modes:
    • Terrain problems in Hellfire Gala: Krakoa, where players were sometimes getting stuck in weird spots or clipping through walls, are getting fixed.

Make sure to log in during the event period to grab that free spray, and definitely give the new Ultron mode a try while it’s available. Since it’s experimental, there’s no guarantee it’ll stick around permanently!
