NetEase’s latest update adds helpful improvements, new content, and fixes players have asked for. This patch notes update focuses on making gameplay better and adds the limited-time Giant-Size Brain Blast mode, which offers big rewards and fun new mechanics.
Giant-Size Brain Blast: The New Limited-Time Mode
The highlight of this update is definitely the new Giant-Size Brain Blast mode, which will be available during two specific time windows:

New In-Store
If you’re looking to freshen up your favorite characters, two new stunning bundles are hitting the store:
- Loki – Shin Sagi-Shi Bundle
- Hela – Yami no Karasu Bundle
Along with the character bundles, you’ll also find:
- A big bunch of Brain Blast-themed emotes to show off your excitement for the new mode.
Resource Adjustments
Luna Snow fans will be happy to know that her Cyber Tunes emote has been improved to loop continuously. No more interrupted dance sessions in the middle of battle!
Hero Proficiency Tweaks
The update changes how you level up hero proficiency. Now, missions are split into two types:
- Quick Match/Competitive missions can be repeated as many times as you want each day. Great for fast progress.
- Conquest/Doom Match missions are harder but have a daily limit, so you can’t level up too fast using just these.
This new system makes your proficiency better reflect your skill in different game modes.
Fixes
The April 2025 update also come with major bug fixes and adjustments:
General
- Fixed a rare issue where players would sometimes find themselves stuck on the round-switch transition screen.
- Resolved a glitch on the Krakoa map where the emote wheel occasionally couldn’t be used, except for the bottom-right segment.
- Fixed a Faction system bug where after a single name change, the name could not be changed again even after the cooldown period.
- Resolved an issue in the Faction Recruit interface where non-leaders saw a “Only Leader Can Select” label on the Confirm button.
- In Custom Game – Tournament Room settings, coaches now have an option to hide opponent voting displays in Competitive matches.
- Fixed an issue where the first time entering a new season’s Battle Pass screen or the moment when season-end settlement pops up and rapidly switching to the next page would sometimes cause the navigation bar to vanish.

- Several terrain issues that caused characters to become stuck or clip through the environment have been fixed, making for smoother gameplay across all maps.

Seven heroes have received specific fixes to improve their gameplay experience:

- Iron Fist: Fixed a rollback bug with his K’un-Lun Kick during high-latency matches.
- Psylocke: Fixed a damage reduction glitch with her Wing Shurikens when hitting Loki’s arm.
- Star-Lord: Added missing facial animations to his Spartax Slumber emote.
- Squirrel Girl: Fixed missing facial expressions in her default emote.
- Invisible Woman: Corrected an error in her Guardian Shield recovery rate.
