What is the Marvel Rivals Combat Chest?
The Combat Chest is basically a mini battle pass that runs alongside Season 2.5. You will unlock rewards by playing matches and getting XP, doesn’t matter if you win or lose in the game. This battle pass will launch on May 30th, 2025, at 9:00 AM UTC and runs until July 11th, 2025. That gives you about 6 weeks to get everything, which is plenty of time if you play regularly.
How Marvel Rivals Combat Chest Works
You earn XP by playing any game mode in Marvel Rivals. Every match gives you experience points that level up your Combat Chest. There is a daily limit of 7,200 XP, which lets you unlock 4 levels each day if you hit the limit. The system has two tracks: Free rewards that everyone gets, and Premium rewards that cost extra.

Premium track costs 690 Lattice, and you can keep the pass forever, meaning no rush to finish before it ends. However, if you don’t want to spend more, the free rewards even include some nice collectibles and even a hero costume, too.

Is the Combat Chest Worth Your Time?
For free players? Absolutely yes. You get a cool Mister Fantastic costume for free, plus a bunch of other stuff just for playing? That’s a steal. For the Premium track, it depends on what you want. If you main Magneto or Storm, the $7 is probably worth it for their skins. The MVP animations are nice too. The best part about premium is no time pressure, buy it and finish whenever you want.
A tip for you, don’t stress about daily limits. You can only get so much XP per day anyway. Just play normally and you’ll finish easily. Try different modes since wins don’t matter for XP. You have 6 weeks, which is way more than you need.
The Combat Chest feels like NetEase is testing something new, and we hope it will work! Free or premium, you’ll walk away happy. It launches with all the other Season 2.5 stuff like Ultron, so there’s lots to do. Jump in on May 30th and see what you think!
