Marvel Rivals is about to get way more colorful, and we are actually pretty excited for it. Basically, you will be able to change the color schemes on our favorite hero and villain skins, which sounds awesome.

This update’s coming right after the Season 2 Hellfire Gala, where we just got Emma Frost and that new Krakoa map. Now we’ve got a chance to really make our characters look different on the field. The new feature isn’t just a simple color swap, it offers carefully designed alternate color palettes for existing skins.

Here’s how you can customize your skins once the update goes live:

  1. Open the Hero Profile menu.
  2. Go to the Cosmetics tab and choose your desired skin
  3. Click on the new Customize button.
  4. Browse through available color options.
  5. Purchase any color choices you’d like and apply your preferred color palette.

Is Marvel Rivals Costume Customization Free?

No, these new color palettes aren’t free. Customized Color Costumes will cost 600 Unstable Molecules for exchange. Unstable Molecules can be exchanged from your Lattice at a 1:1 rate. You must first obtain the costumes before you can customize them.

When you customize your colors, this will affect Intro Animation, MVP, and Emotes as well, giving you a complete visual overhaul for your character. Starting Season 3, NetEase will provide more options to obtain Unstable Molecules, potentially making these customizations more accessible.

With Season 2 already underway and this costume update dropping on April 17th, Marvel Rivals is keeping the content flowing. The next hero is rumored to be Ultron, though NetEase hasn’t officially confirmed this yet. So grab your favorite skins, pick up some new color palettes, and show off your personal style in Marvel Rivals!
