Looks like Marvel Rivals is about to get even better. A new leak shows five more heroes and villains are coming to the 6v6 shooter. It’s a cool mix of big names like Professor X and some other exciting characters, adding new ways to play across different roles. Let’s check them out.
Marvel Rivals Leak Reveals Support Heroes and Classic Villains
A new Marvel Rivals leak posted by MRivalsUpdates on X hints at five more characters coming to the game, with a big focus on boosting the support role. We’re talking about Professor X from the X-Men, along with Locus, who might not be as well-known but is super interesting for team strategies.
Three Support Heroes
Leading the lineup of new support characters is Professor X, who’s likely bringing his telepathic powers to the battlefield from his iconic hover chair. Joining him are two lesser-known but interesting picks: Jia Jing and Locus. If you don’t really know who Jia Jing is, she is also known as Sprite. She has the power to morph her body and also increase her own strength. Meanwhile, Locus brings teleportation powers that could completely change how teams move and position during matches. All of them could be interesting support characters.
New Tank Heroes
Colossus might be joining Marvel Rivals as a Vanguard roster, finally making the classic Fastball Special combo possible. Right now, Hulk can throw Wolverine across the map, but with Colossus in the mix, we’ll get the true X-Men version of this awesome team-up move.
A Villain as New Damage Dealer
Perhaps the most unexpected addition has to be Trapster, once known as Paste-Pot Pete. This classic Fantastic Four villain brings his adhesive weapons to the damage role, arriving just as Season 1 introduces the Fantastic Four to Marvel Rivals. Having Trapster in the game could lead to some pretty funny moments and voice lines too. Especially with characters like Spider-Man and Human Torch who have a long history of mocking his original name.

This leak shows how NetEase is trying to mix big-name heroes with some lesser-known characters from Marvel’s huge roster. Moreover, because most Marvel Rivals players are huge comic fans too, seeing unpopular characters join the roster will definitely get them hyped. Adding three support characters gives players a chance for more team-building options too, and bringing in Colossus finally completes that classic X-Men move that players have been waiting for.
