Punisher is basically a war veteran capable of dealing heavy projectile damage. He can put down a turret that delivers powerful burst splash damage, use a mobility tool to zip around the map, and throw smoke grenades to get away or chase enemies. His hitscan damage makes him great for shooting flying enemies out of the sky.

How to Play Punisher: Combos and Tactics

The Punisher is a consistent DPS hero who is all about creating damage from far away. You want to be patient and have a good aim when playing him as your hero. Focus on chipping away at supports or flying enemies instead of trying to get quick kills. Don’t waste time shooting enemies’ tanks unless they’re out of position or you’re building up your ultimate. Good positioning, patience, and clean aim are what make a good Punisher player.

Adjudication (LMB) and Deliverance (LMB)

  • Adjudication (Assault Rifle) is your main weapon. It does 200–400 damage per second if you hit headshots perfectly. It’s best at medium range, but the damage drops off after 20 meters, so don’t shoot from too far away.
  • Fire in bursts of 8 shots to keep your aim tight and hit more headshots.
  • Deliverance (Shotgun) is for close-up fights. It’s perfect for finishing off enemies who are almost dead. Don’t use it from far away because the pellets spread out too much.

Culling Turret (E)

This puts you in turret mode, where you block 600 damage from the front and fire explosive rounds that do 328 damage per second.

  • Great for hitting multiple enemies and protecting teammates from big ultimates like Magneto’s.
  • Always have a zipline ready to escape before you use it.
  • The bullets are projectiles (not instant hits), and your aim gets better the longer you shoot.

Vantage Connection (Shift) and Scourge Grenade (RMB)

  • Vantage Connection (Zipline) is how you get around. You can place 3 at once and use them to flank, escape, or get back in the fight after respawning.
  • Scourge Grenade (Smoke Bomb) does damage, pushes you back 9 meters, and blocks vision for a bit. Use it mostly to escape when enemies jump on you. You can also combine it with ziplines to reach high ground or make quick flanks.

Final Judgement (Q)

This Ultimate ability gives you two Gatling guns plus shoulder missiles for 10 seconds. You can do up to 528 damage per second if you track well.

  • Use it from behind cover so you don’t get focused during the startup.
  • Watch out for Magneto’s Ultimate, it can kill you instantly. Stick with shield tanks or supports that can protect you.
  • The missiles lock onto targets every 3 seconds and fire automatically. You can hit the same target with 3 missiles max per round.
