Marvel Rivals Season 3 is bringing something huge for Venom fans. You’re finally getting a brand new costume that shows Eddie Brock’s face for the first time in the game. This Venom Phoenix Force skin in Marvel Rivals isn’t just another color change, but it’s totally different from anything we’ve seen before in the game.
Marvel Rivals Venom Phoenix Force Skin
NetEase released the latest lore for Marvel Rivals Season 3, filled with Venom’s story. From the lore, we can see that there will be a crazy battle where Knull seems to be unstoppable, and all the heroes are getting beaten down. Here is the official lore:
“Knull is unstoppable, and our heroes can only seem to delay the inevitable as death creeps ever closer. As all hope fades, Venom charges into battle, the Lethal Protector unleashed. Their unique symbiosis proved the perfect vessel for two opposing forces of the universe. Power surges from their transformation. They slash at the King in Black with a familiar sword, forged anew just as Venom with a fragment of the Phoenix Egg. Yet, with their allies worn down and defeated, does this last stand even have a prayer of success? Or does Venom hold one last trick up their sleeve?“
When everything looks hopeless, Venom charges in as the last hope. The symbiote and Eddie work together to hold two opposite forces of the universe. Venom gets a huge power boost from using a Phoenix Egg fragment and even gets a new sword that’s been reforged with Phoenix power.
The developer also released a new gallery card, and you can see the Venom Phoenix Force skin there. Eddie Brock’s face is literally sticking out of its mouth. It looks pretty wild and awesome, honestly. It’s way cooler than his other skins. Also, Eddie Brock has blonde hair in the game!
Why This Skin Matters for Future Content
This Phoenix Force skin is a big deal for Marvel Rivals. It’s the first time we see Eddie’s face clearly on a Venom skin. This could mean we’ll get more skins that show characters without their masks (hopefully!). Sure, Spider-Man and Black Panther have some unmasked skins already. But Venom is different because the symbiote usually covers Eddie completely. I guess NetEase really likes to try new things with their character looks, which I think is awesome.
This skin actually fits right in with Season 3’s Power of the Phoenix theme. The whole season starts on July 11th, and we are going to get Phoenix/Jean Grey as a Duelist hero. Plus, there will be 5 symbiote skins coming in the Battle Pass.

What About Venom’s Gameplay?
The skin might change how Venom’s moves look a bit. When he does his bite attack, the symbiote skin might close over Eddie’s head. Knowing NetEase, they could also add special dances or emotes that show off Eddie’s face. Don’t expect this skin to be cheap or easy to get, though. It’ll probably be from a special event, or can be considered a Legendary skin, which will cost more than the normal ones. So what do you think?
