Coming to scores, the Dimensity 9500 achieves a score of 15717 in the Geekbench OpenCL test. Previous leaks reveal a single-core score of more than 3900 points and a multi-core score exceeding 11000 points. This puts it in the small ballpark, as the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 is based on the leaked benchmarks.
Expected Specifications And Configuration
The Cortex X930 Prime core will be clocked at 3.23GHz. A slight downgrade from the 3.63GHz clock speed of the Cortex X925 on the Dimensity 9400 Plus.
Furthermore, the Dimensity 9500 will have 3 performance cores clocked at 3.03GHz and 4 cores at 2.23GHz. Although tipster Digital Chat Station claims that these are sampling frequencies and are subject to change.
For graphics-intensive tasks, the Dimensity 9500 will rely on the new Mali G1 Ultra MC12 GPU. Previously, rumours claimed that MediaTek would use a new Immortalis Dragon GPU.
This GPU will offer better ray tracing capabilities while being power-efficient. Interestingly, the test phone for the benchmark is running on Android 16 with 12GB of RAM.
Other expected features include 16MB of L3 cache, 10MB SLC, new NPU 9.0, and 100 TOPS of computing power. It will support LPDDR5X RAM with a speed of 10667 Mbps and quad-channel UFS 4.1 storage.
Availability And Launch
The MediaTek Dimensity 9500 will likely launch in September 2025. Interestingly, Apple’s A19 Pro and Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 will also debut in the same month.
Apple’s event could take place in the first week of September, while Qualcomm will announce the 8 Elite 2 on September 23. Oppo and Vivo are likely to be the first manufacturers to use the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2.
