While the initial spoilers for One Piece Chapter 1150 hinted at the destruction Imu was about to bring to Elbaph, the raw scans now confirm that Imu is a god-level threat. They show the ruler controlling Gunko’s body, with Gunko growing wings that look like a demon’s. Should we expect Luffy vs Imu fight?

The scans also reveal the full effect of the Devil’s Contract, which has turned Dorry and Brogy into giant demons. Other giants have also been transformed, growing to the size of Oars. On Imu’s command, they are now ready to kill Jarul, the oldest living giant in Elbaph. What has fans even more excited is the preview for Chapter 1151, which teases a major clash between Gear 5 Luffy and Imu.

Imu’s Attack Begins on Elbaph

One Piece is on a crazy run of chapters, and Oda has finally shown how powerful Imu is. The raw scans for One Piece Chapter 1150 begin with a group of giants rushing to rescue the kidnapped children. Seeing this, Imu, who is controlling Gunko’s body, unleashes a massive blast of Conqueror’s Haki, knocking out the children and many of the adult giants. This is when Dorry, Brogy, and the remaining Giant Warrior Pirates rush Imu, who is now seen with two wings, a trident, and an arrow-shaped tail resembling a demon.

The focus of the chapter then shifts to the Straw Hats, who mention how changed Gunko looks before we see Sommers slowly healing from the injuries Gaban gave him. We then see Brogy grabbing Imu, who conjures a spell book and brings out a knife and a shotgun. Using the knife, Imu frees themselves before blasting off Brogy’s arm. The Giant Warrior Pirates are shocked to see this and exclaim that their captain is tough as nails.

Imu Transforms Dorry and Brogy into Demons

Imu then summons a pentagram magic circle and chants a prayer, which states that in exchange for casting aside his lifespan, Brogy will gain an immortal body and be granted unprecedented strength. However, Imu also states that Brogy will no longer be bound by reason or common sense and that becoming a demon is the true pinnacle of existence. Imu ends their spell with the phrase “Domi Reversi”.

Then a similar giant pentagram appears on the ground, and Brogy begins to sink into it. Brogy then comes out of the circle with devilish features such as huge fans and a pair of wings. His crew members exclaim that their captain has truly turned into a demon and is even bigger. Brogy then attacks Dorry, who also turns into a demon and wants to go kill Jaurl.

Before they know it, some of the other giants are turned into devils as well, with the final page of the chapter showing Imu commanding a demon army full of giant demons and Killingham’s large Dream monsters. The giants turned into demons appear to be the size of Oars in comparison to normal demons. When the remaining giants relay to Jarul that he needs to run because Dorry and Brogy are acting strange, Jarul says warriors do not know the meaning of the word run.

What to expect from One Piece chapter 1151

While chapter 1150 was short, fans feel Oda has set the stage for a fight between Luffy and Imu for the next chapter. With Imu wreaking havoc on Elbaph and a demon army being set to kill Jarul, Luffy must intervene. Sanji and Zoro will help their captain as well, and it’s most likely that Loki will also join in on the action. With Imu turning so many giants into demons, Luffy and the remaining giants will have to give their all to defend Elbaph.

Fans have also been revisiting Oda’s comment from Jump Festa 2024, where he hinted that if Luffy and the others manage to escape Egghead, they would head to “that” island, where “it” would finally happen, the battle between “that character and that character,” which could lead to unexpected results.

With the way events are unfolding in the manga, it’s now clear Oda was referring to Elbaph. Given the current setup, the two characters destined to clash are Luffy and Imu. Based on the pacing and buildup, it’s highly likely that chapter 1151 will finally showcase their battle, with Luffy’s Nika powers going up against Imu’s demonic abilities. While these two fight it out, it will be on the remaining warriors to stop the rampage of Dorry, Broggy and the other giant demons.
