Users in the US, UK, India, Poland, Germany, and South Korea can get their hands on the beta right now by registering through the Samsung Members app. Here’s everything you need to know about it.
What’s New in One UI 7 Beta?
One UI 7 is based on Android 15, bringing features from Google along with Samsung’s enhancements. And yeah, it looks a lot like iOS 18.
- AI Writing Assist: This lets you summarize content, check spelling, and format notes automatically without leaving the app.
- AI-Powered Call Transcription: Automatically transcribes calls in over 20 languages.
- Now Bar: A pill-shaped widget on the lock screen that lets you check ongoing activities like music, timers, and recordings—similar to Apple’s Live Activities.
- Revamped Camera and Simplified Home Screen: Redesigned camera controls with added zoom control in Pro shooting modes, along with a clean and streamlined UI featuring updated icons, widgets, and lock screen.
- Knox Matrix Security: Private blockchain security system for secure information sharing between Galaxy devices, managed through the Knox Dashboard.
- Maximum Restrictions: Controls network connections, blocks insecure Wi-Fi, and prevents automatic downloads of attachments in messages.
- Theft Protection and Offline Device Lock: Additional security measures to protect your device if compromised.
- Samsung Dex – Samsung has announced that they will discontinue the Dex app in favor of Microsoft’s Phone Link app.
- New UI and Icons: Samsung has given the One UI 7 an iOS 18 makeover. You will see many similarities between the two. The same goes for animations.

How to Install One UI 7 on Samsung S24 Devices
To install the One UI 7 beta on your Galaxy device, you’ll first need to ensure you’re signed in to a Samsung account. Later you need to enroll in the beta version through the Samsung Members app. Once done, you can update by going to Settings > Software Update > Download and Install to install it. This may take up to 10 minutes to appear. Once installed, the device will restart and provide a rundown of the new features.
That being said, keep in mind that switching back to One UI 6 requires resetting your device, which can lead to data loss. So proceed with caution and make sure to back up your data beforehand.
Currently, the beta version is available only for the S24 series. Other eligible devices will receive the One UI 7 beta update in the near future.
