OnePlus, the Chinese giant, is developing a new flagship smartphone. Since number 4 is considered unlucky in China, the company is moving straight to the OnePlus 15. This was also one of the reasons why we didn’t see the OnePlus 4. It will be the successor to the OnePlus 13 with improvements across the board. Here is everything you need to know about the OnePlus 15.

OnePlus 15 To Get Flat Panel And Snapdragon 8 Elite 2
A new leak by tipster Digital Chat Station (DCS) has spilled the beans on the specifications of the OnePlus 15. While he doesn’t mention the name of the phone, it is likely to be the upcoming OnePlus flagship.
Starting with the biggest change, the OnePlus 15 will use a flat screen instead of a quad curved one. This should make finding screen protectors easier, as you need to fiddle around with UV ones.
The screen will be smaller at 6.78 inches compared to the 6.82-inch panel on the OnePlus 13. Another downgrade would be the lower resolution with a 1.5K panel rather than a 2K panel, and it will have a new LIPO process.

Thankfully, the bezels will be a lot slimmer, just like the iPhones. In terms of performance, the OnePlus 15 will use the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 indicated by the codename SM8850.
According to leaks, the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 will have a score of 3.8 million apart from a 25% increase in Geekbench 6 score. It will be based on TSMC’s 3nm process and will use second-generation Oryon cores.
Furthermore, the OnePlus 15 will have up to 24GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. The major upgrade, however, will be in the cameras, as it will have a triple camera setup.
According to a leak by SmartPikachu will have a 200mp periscope lens and three other lenses. While there is no clarity on the lens configuration, the other lenses are likely to be a primary and an ultrawide one.
But what we do know is that the phone will be slim and lightweight, measuring just 8.5mm like the OnePlus 13. Furthermore, it could also have a larger battery, possibly a 7,000mAh one.
As for the OnePlus 13 launch date, the phone will debut in October. This will only happen if OnePlus decides to stick to its annual launch schedule. However, if the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 does arrive early, then maybe we could get the OnePlus 15 before.
