Starsea Voyage is one of the most exciting things you can do in Petit Planet. Once you unlock them, a whole new layer of the game opens up. You get to fly your car across space, land on different Islets, gather rare resources, and even meet new Neighbors. Here is everything you need to know to make the most of every voyage.

What Is a Starsea Voyage in Petit Planet?

A Starsea Voyage is how you travel beyond your home planet in Petit Planet. You hop in your car, pick up to two Neighbors to bring along, and then drive through the Star Stratum to visit Islets. Each Islet is a small planet with its own resources, creatures, and surprises. Some even have rare items and new Neighbors you can recruit.

You unlock Starsea Voyages early in the game (on the second day), and when you first get access, you receive one free Lumia Battery to get you started.

How to Get and Use Lumia Batteries in Petit Planet

Your car runs on Lumia Batteries, and you need at least one to go on a voyage. Driving around the Star Stratum slowly drains your battery, and landing on an Islet uses up a big chunk at once.

Here is how you can get Lumia Batteries each day:

SourceCost / Requirement
Lumi Mart (1st daily purchase)800 Loomi
Lumi Mart (2nd daily purchase)1,200 Loomi
Neighbor Planet Growth Stage 5Free reward
First-time Starsea Voyage unlock1 free battery

You can only buy two batteries per day from the Lumi Mart. Without any car upgrades, two batteries are usually enough to visit two Islets before you have to head back. As you upgrade your car, your battery lasts longer, and you can explore more in a single trip.

How to Start a Starsea Voyage in Petit Planet

Before you launch, there are a couple of things to set up:

  1. First, pick your companions. You can bring up to two neighbors with you. Each neighbor has their own set of skills, like fishing, bug-catching, mining, wood-cutting, beachcombing, and harvesting. Try to pick two neighbors whose skills cover as many categories as possible so you do not miss out on any resources.
  2. Second, bring food with you.
  3. Third, your companions will gather resources automatically, but if you gather things yourself during the voyage, you will earn Archiboos. These are important for helping your neighbors level up their planets, so it is worth collecting them when you can.

Once you are out in space, a radar in the corner shows nearby Islets and gives you a hint about what is on them. A butterfly icon means insects. A pickaxe symbol means mining spots. Use that to plan which Islets to visit based on what you actually need.

What to Do on Each Islet

Every islet is different. Some are lush with trees and flowers. Others are beaches full of shore-dwelling creatures. The type of islet determines what shows up there. Here is a general breakdown of what you might find:

Islet TypeCommon Resources
Forest IsletTrees, flowers, insects, and fish
Beach IsletShore-dwellers, shellfish, and a small number of trees
Mixed IsletA combination of resources from multiple types

Your companions will split off and start collecting on their own the moment you land. They handle most of the gathering, but there are three things only you can do:

  • Open treasure chests.
  • Pick up Lucadrops.
  • Dig up plants or trees with your shovel.

Rare creatures also have a higher chance of spawning on Islets compared to your home planet, so keep your net and fishing rod ready. On some Islets, you will find a small unmanned vending cart. These sell limited items like rare seeds, special resources, and Inspo Cards. Always check them before you leave.

Some Islets have new neighbors waiting to be discovered, too! When you meet one, they give you an item and a small quest to complete. Finish the quest, and you can invite them to live on your planet. You can only invite two new neighbors per day.

What Are Lucadrops in Petit Planet?

Lucadrops are the blue collectibles you find scattered across certain Islets. Walk over them to pick them up. They are the main currency for upgrading your car at the Loomi Mart under Car Services.

Here is what upgrades do:

UpgradeEffect
Acceleration BoostIncreases driving speed temporarily
Battery ExpansionLets you visit more Islets per trip
Star Stratum Tier 2 AccessOpens higher exploration zones
Star Stratum Tier 3 AccessUnlocks the deepest areas in the Stratum

Islets that have a Lucadrop will show a drop icon before you enter. Always prioritize those when you are low on battery and need to make every stop count.

Now you know that Starsea Voyage is one of the best features of Petit Planet. Every trip feels different because the Islets vary, the resources change, and there is always a chance you will run into someone new. Are you ready to check out what the Star Stratum has waiting for you?
