Plants vs Brainrots has just gotten a new update, bringing a brand-new biome called Mushroom Marsh. Of course, there are also new Secret Brainrots you can see here, which makes unlocking this biome a must for progression. In this guide, you’ll learn exactly how to unlock the Mushroom Marsh biome in Plants vs Brainrots, step by step.

How to Unlock Mushroom Marsh Biome in Plants vs Brainrots
To unlock Mushroom Marsh, you need to complete all 150 story missions in Plants vs Brainrots. However, before you can even start working toward that, you must finish the 25 missions from the Winter biome first. If you haven’t unlocked Winter yet, you’ll need to progress through all the previous biomes in order.
That means you have to battle all the brainrots in Grasslands, Desert, Jungle, Cherry Grove, and Birch Forest. It takes some time, but Mushroom Marsh is currently the best biome in the game right now, so it’s definitely worth the grind.

Each story mission has a 30-minute cooldown between attempts. This means unlocking Mushroom Marsh will take at least 12 hours, even if you play nonstop. However, don’t worry, because story missions are much easier now than they used to be, so the process isn’t nearly as hardcore as before.
How to Complete Story Missions Faster
The best way to speed things up is to focus on building strong plants first. Level up your plants to around level 10 or higher. Use items like EXP Potions that you can get from the shop or event rewards, such as Sprout Studies or Vaulted event. Good mutations make a huge difference, too, since they really boost your damage output.
If you have the Corrupted plants (the ones with purple color), use them smartly. These plants have 10 times more health. Put them at the front of your defense, and they’ll hold back the brainrots way longer than regular plants.
What Makes Mushroom Marsh Special
The biome itself is really cool. Instead of grass, everything is now dirt with colorful mushrooms everywhere, red, blue, and yellow ones. You can even stand on some of the mushrooms, which is a fun touch. It’s simple but looks great.

What makes Mushroom Marsh even more special is the addition of brand-new Secret Brainrots that can only be found in this biome. Here’s the full list of all Secret Brainrots you can find in the Mushroom Marsh biome:
- Sale And Pepper
- Dogge Spione
- Scava Escavatore
- Dice, Dice, Diceino
Take your time building up your plants, and you’ll get there. Good luck unlocking Mushroom Marsh!
