Apple event is around the corner and the world is waiting for the launch of the iPhone 16 series, new AirPods, Watch X, and maybe, maybe an iPad Mini too. But what has taken hold of people’s attention is AI or Apple Intelligence. It is available to iOS 18.1 beta version but there is a waitlist. You must join the waitlist and follow the steps before testing Apple’s take on AI. Here’s how.
What You Need to Join Apple Intelligence Waitlist
There are some prerequisites:
- Your iPhone must be eligible to support Apple Intelligence.
- Your iPhone must be running iOS 18.1, iPad should be running iPadOS 18.1, and your MacBook should be on macOS 15.1 Sequoia. Here’s how to join the beta program and here’s a list of compatible iPhones.
There is no longer any need to change your location and language to the USA anymore.
Join Apple Intelligence Waitlist
- Open Settings.
- Tap on Apple Intelligence & Siri.
- Select Join Waitlist. You should see a message saying Joined Waitlist.
You should receive a confirmation within 30-60 minutes that your device has joined Apple Intelligence waitlist program. Note that irrespective of the fact that you have logged in to different Apple devices using the same Apple ID, you will have to manually join the Apple Intelligence waitlist on each device.
You will receive a notification when your device is accepted for Apple Intelligence. Tap on the Approval message to begin downloading the necessary files. Once done, you should be able to use different Apple Intelligence features across iOS.
