When I switched from my LG Wing to a Samsung Galaxy S23, I had no idea the Samsung Flow app existed. One day, a friend at work mentioned it, so I thought why not give it a shot? And it is quite useful. Samsung Flow has become a part of my daily routine, and I think you’ll love it too. So, here are the best Samsung Flow features to make your life easier if you’ve got a Samsung phone and a Windows computer.
Table of Contents
1. Transfer Files in a Flash
I used to rely on Quick Share to move files between my Samsung phone and PC, which works well enough for most people. But here’s where Samsung Flow shines through. Once your devices are connected, you can send multiple files all at once, without the hassle of hunting for nearby devices every time like you would with Quick Share. Although I didn’t notice a huge difference in transfer speeds when moving a 1.82 GB file, the convenience factor with Samsung Flow is a game changer.

2. Mirror Your Phone Screen on Windows
Ever wished you could mirror your Galaxy phone on your Windows computer like iPhone users do with their Macs? Samsung Flow’s got you covered. With just one click, you can access your entire phone from your PC. Just hit the Smart View button and accept the request on your phone – boom, you’re in.
And just like you can drag and drop files between iPhone and Mac, you can do the same here. Plus, you can rotate your screen, adjust the resolution, choose sound output, and even use your phone while it’s mirrored on your PC.
Pro Tip: If Smart View isn’t working, go to Settings and select Bluetooth as the connection method.
3. Copy Recent Text from Clipboard
This is a small feature, but it’s seriously handy. With Samsung Flow, you can copy text from the clipboard on both your connected devices. Let’s say you need an OTP to log into a website on your computer, and it comes through on your phone. You can just copy it on your phone and paste it on your computer. No more typing it out manually.
4. Keep Tabs on All Your Personal Notes
Samsung Flow also lets you send notes between your phone and PC. I’m not sure how many people would find this feature useful, but I love that you can send texts back and forth, and share browser links, and they’ll stay in the tab even if you close the app or reconnect later. Perfect for accessing old notes whenever you need them.

5. Never Miss Out on Notifications
There are plenty of apps out there that let you view your phone’s notifications on your PC, such as Microsoft Phone Link. But if you’re not using any of those, Samsung Flow has you covered. You can see your phone notifications right on your PC. Though you can’t interact with them by replying to texts or answering calls – it’s still a handy feature.
Setup Samsung Flow
The steps are simple:
- Download Samsung Flow from the Play Store and Microsoft Store.
- Sign in to your Samsung account, and make sure both your phone and PC are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. You can also use a USB cable to connect them.
- Once that’s done, click the Start button, select your Galaxy phone, and grant all the necessary permissions.
That’s it. If Samsung Flow adds any new features down the road, I’ll update this space so watch out! Follow and subscribe to us for more such articles.
