First Steps - Codes and Early Summoning

When you start Re: Rangers X, you'll choose a starter unit. Pick Goku, Luffy, or Naruto - the choice doesn't matter much since you'll replace them quickly with better units. Redeem all active codes immediately for free gems, summon tickets, and upgrade materials. The codes give you enough resources to do multiple summons on the standard banner.

At level 1, only the standard banner is available, but you can pull Epic, Legendary, and Mythical rarity units that carry you through early story missions. Use your starter gems to summon until you get at least one good unit. This becomes your main damage dealer while you progress. Don't worry about getting the perfect unit early - you'll farm better ones later.

Story Mode and Leveling

Complete story missions to level up and unlock new content. The story has multiple chapters based on different anime:

  • Chapter 1: Voocha Village
  • Chapter 2: Green Planet
  • Chapter 3: Leaf Village (Naruto)
  • Chapter 4: Ghoul City
  • Chapter 5: Virtual Sword
  • Chapter 6: Tokyo City (Jujutsu Kaisen)

Each chapter has 5 stages on Normal difficulty. Once you beat a chapter, Hard and Nightmare difficulties unlock. Nightmare difficulty gives the most XP, so farm the first stage (Chapter 1 Stage 1) on Nightmare repeatedly to level up fast once you're strong enough to clear it. Reaching level 15 unlocks the Selection Banner, which lets you choose a specific unit to summon.

Best Units to Farm

The strongest units in Re: Rangers X come from Ranger Stages and special modes, not from summoning. Here's what to farm first:

Upgrade Systems

Re: Rangers X has multiple upgrade systems that stack together:

  • Traits give stat multipliers to your units. Reroll traits using trait reroll items until you get Sovereign (best for DPS units) or Duplicator (spawns two copies of the unit).
  • Stats can be rerolled using stat keys. Aim for S-rank or higher on Attack, HP, and Range for your main damage dealers. Use the "Reroll All" option to quickly cycle through combinations.
  • Evolution upgrades specific units to stronger versions. Evolving requires gold plus materials from story missions and Ranger Stages. Not all units have evolutions available.
  • Tier Evolution changes cooldown and cost. Hyper Evolution works best for Sovereign trait units since it lowers cooldown. Ultra Evolution costs more but has other benefits.
  • Curses apply bonus effects using Cursed Fingers from raids. The best curse for most DPS units is increased spawn speed.
