Ammo Types
Every gun uses a different ammo type. You can find ammo scattered around levels, buy it from Supply Boxes, or craft it yourself.
| Ammo Type | Used By | How to Get |
|---|---|---|
| Handgun Ammo | Pistols | Found in containers, buy for 500 credits, craft with Scrap + Gunpowder (Small) |
| Shotgun Shells | Shotguns | Found in containers, buy for 600 credits, craft with Scrap + Gunpowder (Large) |
| Rifle Ammo | Rifles | Found in containers, buy for 900 credits, craft with 2x Scrap + Gunpowder (Large) |
| Machine Gun Ammo | SMGs | Found in containers, buy for 800 credits, craft with 2x Scrap + Gunpowder (Small) |
| 12.7x55mm Ammo | Requiem Revolver | Found rarely, craft with Rare Metal + 80 Infected Blood (Grace only) |
Handgun ammo is the most common and cheapest to buy. Rifle and shotgun ammo costs more but deals higher damage per shot. The special 12.7x55mm rounds only work with Grace’s Requiem pistol and require rare materials to craft.
Healing and Consumable Items
These items restore health or give temporary stat boosts. They disappear after one use.
| Item | Effect | How to Get |
|---|---|---|
| Green Herb | Small health restore | Growing in pots throughout all areas |
| Mixed Herb (G+G) | Medium health restore | Combine 2 Green Herbs |
| Mixed Herb (G+G+G) | Full health restore | Combine 3 Green Herbs |
| Med Injector | Full health restore | Buy for 1,500 credits or craft with Mixed Herb + 30 Infected Blood |
| Steroids | Permanent max health increase | Craft with Empty Injector + 120 Infected Blood or buy for 4 Antique Coins |
| Stabilizer | Better gun accuracy and damage | Craft with Empty Injector + 130 Infected Blood or buy for 4 Antique Coins |
| Transfusion Bag | Refills Blood Collector | Found in containers and dropped by enemies |
| Hemolytic Injector | Damages enemies | Take from Examination Room or craft with Scrap + 60 Infected Blood |
Green Herbs are free and plentiful. Always combine them before using to get better healing. Steroids permanently boost your maximum health, so use them as soon as you make them. Stabilizers make your weapons stronger temporarily.
Crafting Materials
Materials combine together to create ammo, healing items, and other supplies. Grace and Leon use different crafting systems.
| Material | Used For | How to Get |
|---|---|---|
| Scrap | Ammo crafting, knife making | Containers, enemy drops, break down knives |
| Gunpowder (Small) | Handgun and SMG ammo | Containers throughout levels |
| Gunpowder (Large) | Shotgun, rifle ammo, grenades | Containers throughout levels |
| Infected Blood | Grace’s crafting (ammo, injectors) | Collect from dead enemies and blood puddles with Blood Collector |
| Rare Metal | Special ammo for Requiem | Inside locked drawers (requires lockpicks) |
| Empty Injector | Steroids and Stabilizers | Containers and enemy drops |
| Empty Bottle | Molotovs and Acid Bottles | Containers throughout levels |
Leon’s crafting is simpler – he just needs Scrap and Gunpowder. Grace needs Infected Blood for almost everything, which she collects using the Blood Collector tool. Both characters should craft ammo regularly to avoid running out during boss fights.

|---|---|
| Mixed Herb (G+G) | 2x Green Herbs |
| Mixed Herb (G+G+G) | 3x Green Herbs OR 1x Mixed Herb (G+G) + 1x Green Herb |

Leon doesn’t need to analyze anything or collect blood. He simply combines Scrap with Gunpowder to make ammo. His system is faster but he can’t store items in boxes like Grace. Leon must sell weapons at Supply Boxes to free up space, though he can buy them back later.

Currency
Antique Coins are the only collectible currency in Resident Evil Requiem. You spend these at special shops.
Antique Coins – Hidden throughout every area. Look on shelves, inside drawers, and in hard-to-reach corners. You can also break down 5 Antique Coins into 1 Scrap if needed. Spend coins at the Coin Cabinet in the Care Center to buy upgrades like Hip Pouches (3 coins), Stabilizers (4 coins), Steroids (4 coins), and the Override Manual (6 coins).
Upgrade Items
These items permanently improve your character’s abilities or inventory space.
| Upgrade | Effect | How to Get |
|---|---|---|
| Hip Pouch | +2 inventory slots | West Wing Filing Room or buy for 3 Antique Coins |
| Case Upgrade (8×13) | Larger inventory grid | Buy from Supply Box for 4,000 credits |
| Body Armor | Damage reduction | Buy from Supply Box for 8,000 credits |
| Override Manual (Matsuoka) | +50 Blood Collector capacity | Buy from Coin Cabinet for 6 Antique Coins (Grace only) |
| Master Manual (Matsuoka) | +50 Blood Collector capacity | Unlock in Special Content for 1,000 Completion Points (Grace only) |
Tools
Tools are special items that stay in your inventory and don’t get used up.
| Tool | Purpose | How to Get |
|---|---|---|
| Blood Collector | Collect Infected Blood from enemies | Blood Lab in Care Center East Wing (Grace only) |
| Lock Pick | Open locked drawers containing Rare Metal | Found in containers, one-time use per drawer |
| Tactical Tracker | Shows collectible locations on map | On top of Supply Box at BSAA Camp in East Raccoon City |
The Blood Collector is essential for Grace’s crafting system. Lock Picks let you access drawers with rare materials inside. The Tactical Tracker marks Mr. Raccoons and Antique Coins on your map, making collectibles much easier to find.
Blood Collector Upgrades
Grace starts with a Blood Collector that holds 100 units of Infected Blood. Two upgrades increase this limit:
- Matsuoka Override Manual – Found in the Parlor (West Wing of Care Center). Costs 6 Antique Coins from the Coin Cabinet. Adds +50 capacity. Must be bought again each playthrough.
- Matsuoka Master Manual – Unlocked in Special Content menu for 1,000 Completion Points after beating the game. Adds +50 capacity permanently across all saves.
With both upgrades, Grace can hold 200 units of Infected Blood total. This lets her craft more items without needing to refill constantly.

Blood Specimen Locations
Grace needs to find and analyze three Blood Specimens to unlock her crafting recipes:
| Blood Specimen | Location | Unlocks |
|---|---|---|
| Denatured | Blood Lab | Handgun Ammo and Hemolytic Injectors |
| Reversible | Storage room next to Blood Lab (needs Level 1 ID) | Steroids and Stabilizers |
| Converged | Closet next to Waiting Room (needs Level 1 ID) | Med Injectors and 12.7x55mm Ammo |
Two additional crafting recipes come from documents instead of Blood Specimens:
- Crafting Recipe (Basement) – Bunkroom in Care Center Basement. Unlocks Molotov Cocktails.
- Crafting Recipe (ARK) – Monitor Control Room when playing as Grace. Unlocks Bottle of Acid and other items.
Resident Evil Requiem’s item system rewards players who explore thoroughly and manage their inventory carefully. Always craft ammo when you have spare materials and upgrade your inventory capacity early.
