Hooked is a competitive PvP game where two teams fight using hooks and weapons on hazard-filled maps. Winning requires more than just good aim - you need smart positioning, proper hook timing, and teamwork. These strategies in Hooked will help you get more eliminations, avoid deaths, and carry your team to victory.
Master Hook Timing and Distance
Hooking enemies correctly separates good players from great ones. Always hook before attacking instead of running straight into fights. When your hook connects, the enemy gets ragdolled, giving you a free window to attack while they recover. Practice your hook aim on moving targets. The hook has travel time, so aim slightly ahead of where enemies are running. Long-range hooks work best when enemies are distracted, fighting your teammates or running in straight lines.
Don't spam your hook constantly. Each missed hook has a cooldown, leaving you vulnerable. Wait for good opportunities when enemies are exposed or near hazards. One well-timed hook near spikes is worth more than three random hooks in open space.

Use Hazards to Your Advantage
Map hazards eliminate enemies instantly without needing to deplete their health. Spikes, barrels, pits, and fire kill on contact. Position yourself near these hazards and hook enemies into them for easy eliminations. The "hook and pull method" works by standing next to hazards and hooking enemies who get too close. When they get pulled toward you, they also get pulled into the hazard behind you. This strategy gets multiple kills quickly without taking damage yourself.

Position Yourself Smartly
Never fight in the middle of enemy groups. Stay on the edges of fights where you can hook single targets without getting surrounded. Fighting alone in enemy territory leads to quick deaths since multiple enemies can hook you simultaneously. Stay aware of your surroundings during fights. Don't focus so hard on one enemy that you ignore others sneaking up behind you. Glance at your sides frequently to check for flankers trying to hook you into hazards.

Use Skills at the Right Time
Skills change fights completely when used correctly. Don't waste skills randomly - save them for important moments.
- Dash gets you out of danger fast. Use it to dodge hooks at the last second or escape when surrounded. The cooldown is short so you can use it frequently, but don't waste it traveling between fights.
- Heal keeps your team alive during extended fights. Place healing zones behind cover so teammates can recover safely without getting hooked while healing. Multiple heals on the same team become redundant, so coordinate with teammates.
- Black Hole pulls multiple enemies toward one spot. Use it to drag enemies into hazards or clump them together so teammates can attack everyone at once. This skill wins team fights when timed correctly.
- Shadow Veil makes you invisible for sneaking behind enemy lines. Use invisibility to position yourself near enemy-side hazards, then hook unsuspecting enemies into danger. Remember hooks can still hit you while invisible.
- Meteor calls down area damage on the nearest enemy. Aim it to force enemies away from objectives or into hazards. The knockback effect pushes enemies toward hazards if timed right.
- Wall blocks incoming hooks. Place walls between you and multiple enemies when you're low health. Walls also protect teammates who are fighting near hazards.

Coordinate With Your Team
Hooked has no solo mode - teamwork matters every match. Communicate with teammates about which enemies to focus. Concentrating attacks on single targets eliminates them faster than spreading damage across multiple enemies. When a teammate is dueling an enemy, hook that enemy from the side to give your teammate free hits. Two players working together always beat one skilled player alone.
Don't steal eliminations from teammates who already have enemies with low health. Let them finish their kills and focus on fresh targets instead. Eliminations give everyone on the winning team rewards, so kill stealing only wastes time. For more Hooked guides, including skill tier lists and best weapons, check out our Roblox Hooked Wiki.
