Did you know that the arena you are playing in can eliminate you just as fast as the other penguins? In Knockout, every map comes with its own gimmick, and if you don’t know what it is, you’re already at a disadvantage. With this guide, I will help you explain all arenas in Knockout, so you know exactly what you’re walking into.

All Arenas in Knockout
Right now, there are five arenas in Knockout. Knowing what each one does before you land on it can seriously help you survive longer. Here’s a full breakdown of every arena and what you need to watch out for:
| Arena | Gimmick | Key Colors |
|---|---|---|
| Classic | Shrinking arena | Light blue |
| Color Block | Step on the correct color or fall | Multiple |
| Bubblegum Bayou | Bouncy bubblegum hazards | Pink |
| Penguin Peak | Disappearing platforms | Brown, yellow, orange, red |
| Polar Portals | Portals that teleport you | Blue, orange |
| Temple Tiles | TBA | TBA |
| Doomsday | TBA | TBA |

All the arenas are selected automatically by default. However, players can choose a specific arena to play on by paying 19 Robux each time they make a selection.
1. Classic Arena
The Classic arena is exactly what it sounds like: It’s the basic version of the game. It’s light blue and white in color, and the main thing you need to worry about here is the shrinking arena. As the match goes on, the platform gets smaller and smaller, which means there’s less space to move around, and it gets harder to avoid other players.

This is a great map to learn the basics on since there are no extra gimmicks beyond the shrink. Just focus on staying near the middle and knocking people off before the platform runs out of room.
2. Color Block Arena
The Color Block arena mixes up the standard gameplay by adding a color-matching challenge on top of survival. The map lights up with different colors, and you need to make sure you’re standing on the correct colored block when it matters, or you’ll fall into the water below.

This one requires you to split your attention between fighting and paying attention to which color is safe. The game will give you a notification every time. Don’t get so caught up in a fight that you miss the color change, because it’s caught plenty of players off guard.
3. Bubblegum Bayou Arena
Bubblegum Bayou looks cute, but don’t let the pink fool you. This arena works like the Classic map in terms of layout, but it’s covered in bouncy bubblegum hazards scattered across the platform. Hit one of those, and you’ll get launched in a direction you didn’t plan for.

The hazards can actually work in your favor if you time things right. You can bait an opponent into bouncing off the edge. But you really need to practice your skill here.
4. Penguin Peak Arena
Penguin Peak is probably the most complex arena in the game right now. It’s shaped differently from every other map, and it’s made up of 9 platform sections that slowly disappear throughout the match. The platforms use a color-coded warning system so you know how much time you have left on each one:

| Platform Color | What It Means |
|---|---|
| Brown | Safe |
| Yellow | Will turn orange next round |
| Orange | Will turn red next round |
| Red | Disappears next round |
On top of that, the water is replaced with lava, so falling off is even more punishing visually. Keep an eye on the platform colors at all times so you’re not standing on a red one when the round ticks over.
5. Polar Portals Arena
Polar Portals splits the arena into four sections, each connected by railed bridges. The big feature here is the portals placed at each corner of the map. There are two types:
| Portal Color | Where It Takes You |
|---|---|
| Blue | Teleports you to the other blue portal |
| Orange | Teleports you to the other orange portal |

You can use these portals to escape a bad situation or to chase down an opponent. The map gets even more intense in the final rounds, when all portals and bridges are destroyed, and every remaining player gets teleported to one single section to finish the match.
6. Temple Tiles
TBA
7. Doomsday
TBA
All of the arenas in Knockout bring something different, and the more you play on each one, the more comfortable you’ll get with its quirks. Keep on playing to learn the maps and use that knowledge to outlast every other penguin in the game! Don’t forget to also check out the Knockout Shop and the guide on how to get Ice in the game.
