How Tools Work in Steal a Fish
Items are your essential weapons for protecting your fish and fighting other players. You can use them to slap enemies away, shoot from a distance, or freeze opponents in their tracks. When you first start playing, you have access to basic tools like the Silver Slap. As you earn more in-game currency and Rebirth, you can unlock increasingly powerful weapons and special equipment.

When you leave the game, you keep your purchased items and can use them in future sessions. Most tools come from the Tools Store, where you spend in-game money you’ve earned. However, there’s also a Robux Shop for premium items that cost real money and offer unique advantages.
All Tools in Steal a Fish Tools Store

The Tools Store has lots of items that you can buy with the money from your income while playing. You can visit the NPC in the middle of the map, next to the river and across the Robux Store. The latest update added three new items in this store that you can only buy with Robux. Here’s every item available:

Which Tools Work Best?
So that’s all of the tools in Steal a Fish. For beginners, start with the Silver Slap and Flintlock. They’re cheap and cover both close and long-range fighting. As you earn more money, upgrade to the Golden Slap and Blunderbuss for better performance. Late-game players should focus on the Ice Slap and Freeze Gun combo. Freezing enemies gives you complete control, while the Invisible Cape adds a sneaky element to your strategy!
The key is mixing different tool types. Don’t just buy expensive slapping tools. Having both range and special abilities makes you much harder to beat. Try different combinations and see what works for your play style.
