The latest Sailor Piece update introduces a new sea to explore, along with new items, weapons, and more. However, to unlock Sea 2, you’ll need Ancient Fragments. These fragments take the form of golden keys scattered across the Sailor Piece map, but they spawn in fixed locations. In this guide, you’ll find all the Ancient Fragment locations in Sailor Piece.
What Is Ancient Fragment in Sailor Piece?
Ancient Fragments are special collectibles added in the latest Sailor Piece update. You need them to unlock Sea 2, which brings new POIs, items, weapons, fighting styles, and Sea Beasts to the game. Here's what you need to know about how they work:
| Detail | Info |
|---|---|
| Total spawn locations | 20 |
| Active at one time | 2 |
| Respawn timer | Every 1.5 minutes |
| Disappear after | 5 minutes if uncollected |
Only 2 fragments are active on the map at any given time, so you won't be able to grab all 20 in one run. They rotate through the 20 fixed spots on a timer.
All Ancient Fragment Locations in Sailor Piece
Before you run off collecting fragments, go talk to the Sea Traveler NPC on World Island first. This starts the quest. You need to be level 12,500 to even talk to him. If you skip this step, any fragments you pick up won't count toward unlocking Sea 2. It's an easy thing to miss, so make sure you do it first.

Here's every possible spawn spot for Ancient Fragment:
Starter Island
There's a rock sitting right at the water's edge on the left side of the island. The fragment spawns right on top of it. If it's not there, it can also be on the roof of the windmill tower.

Desert Island
Two fragments can spawn here. One is on the roof of a tall building tucked behind the merchant. The other is on the rooftop of a building sitting next to the island's tallest tower.
Snow Island
Go past the mobs and find the cabin behind them. The fragment spawns inside the cabin.

Shibuya Station
Two fragments can appear here. One is on the edge of the wall of the building near the Cursed King boss. The other is on top of a brown triangle building nearby, so climb to the roof and look around.
Hollow Island
Two fragments can spawn here, too. One is inside a damaged building near a cluster of smaller huts close to the boss spawn. The other is at the top of a large dead tree standing next to the big chimney on the right side of the island.
Shinjuku Island
Both fragments here spawn on tilted buildings. One is on the rooftop of the building, leaning all the way over. The second is on a nearby tilted building that isn't leaning as far.
Slime Island
One fragment spawns on the balcony of the house closest to the Key Crafter NPC. The other is on the ground near the shoreline at the back of the colosseum.
Academy Island
One fragment sits on top of a wall above a watchtower section. The other is on the roof of the academy building itself, on the left side near where the Demon King NPC stands.
Judgment Island
From the teleport point, go right and climb the mountain to find one at the top. The second fragment is at the top of another mountain toward the back of the island, near some ice shards.
Ninja Island
Right of the save crystal near spawn, there's a bare dead tree. The fragment is at the very top of it.

Lawless Island
One fragment spawns behind the boss tower at the back. The other sits on a low wall near the water on the inside of the island.

Tips to Find Ancient Fragment in Sailor Piece Faster
Since only 2 fragments are live at any time, you need a good route. Here are some tips that make the grind easier:
- Talk to the Sea Traveler NPC first, so your progress actually counts.
- Start at Starter Island and work your way outward across the map.
- Use map portals to jump between islands. Swimming wastes too much time.
- Focus on busy islands like Shibuya, Hollow, and Shinjuku. Other players tend to skip these, so fragments there tend to stay up longer.
- Keep moving instead of camping on one island. The respawn timer is short, so doing a full rotation often works better than waiting.
- Play during off-peak hours if you can. Fewer players means fewer fragments getting grabbed before you reach them.
Ancient Fragments in Sailor Piece aren't hard to find. Stick to a solid island rotation, use the portals, and you'll have both fragments before long. Once you do, Sea 2 opens up, and it's worth the effort. Good luck! Check out more guides from our Sailor Piece wiki if you need information and even redeem codes!
