The Reaper Key is one of the more important items added in the latest Sailor Piece update, and if you have been grinding for a while without seeing one drop, you are not alone. A lot of players are running into the same wall right now. This guide covers exactly where to farm Reaper Key in Sailor Piece, how to improve your chances, and what to do with it once you finally have one.

How to Get the Reaper Key in Sailor Piece

The Reaper Key drops from NPCs called Ghoul Masters, found on Isolation Island. These are currently the only confirmed sources for the key in the game. You have to head to Isolation Island and start clearing them consistently.

The drop rate is the main frustration. Compared to previous boss summon items in Sailor Piece, the Reaper Key feels noticeably harder to obtain. Many players in the community have flagged this and there is a reasonable chance the drop rate is currently bugged, since earlier keys in the game were nowhere near this difficult to farm. Whether that gets patched or not, the grind is what it is for now.

You should consider running a luck-based build while you farm. Equipping stuff that boosts your luck can increase your chances of getting a Reaper Key drop, and given how low the base rate appears to be, every bit of extra luck helps.

How to Use the Reaper Key in Sailor Piece

Once you have a Reaper Key in your inventory, head back to Isolation Island and locate the Black Reaper boss summon point. Interact with it while the key is in your inventory to begin the summoning process. Without the key, the boss fight cannot be started at all, which is why farming it is the priority before anything else. Also, the Reaper boss difficulty can be selected by you, however you need to pay different amount of Reaper Keys.

  • Normal: 1 Reaper Key
  • Medium: 2 Reaper Key
  • Hard: 3 Reaper Key
  • Extreme: 4 Reaper Key

The Black Reaper is a new boss tied to this update and is worth the grind, as it will help you unlock the Black Reaper fighting style. The Reaper Key is a one-time use item, so each run requires a fresh key. That is what makes the farming loop here feel so demanding, especially with the current drop rate.
