Runes are one of the best ways to boost your character in Sailor Piece. Each one gives your character a different kind of buff, whether that's more damage, better HP, or even a luck boost for farming rare drops. If you want to get stronger, learning how to farm and use Runes is something you will want to do early. Here is everything you need to know about Runes in Sailor Piece.
How to Get Runes in Sailor Piece
All Runes in Sailor Piece drop from the Rune Dungeon. This dungeon has 15 waves of enemies, and you can run it on four different difficulty levels: Easy, Medium, Hard, and Extreme. The harder the difficulty, the higher your chance of getting a Rune at the end.
To enter the Rune Dungeon, you need a Dungeon Key. You get these by defeating World Bosses out in the open world. Most World Bosses have a chance to drop a Dungeon Key, but the only exception is the Shadow Boss, which doesn't drop one.
Once you have a Dungeon Key, head to the Dungeon Island location. You can get there through any portal, just scroll down to the Dungeon Island teleport option. When you arrive, find the Dungeon Master NPC and speak to him. Before you can start any dungeon, you need to meet a few requirements:
- Collect 6 Ancient Puzzle pieces
- Defeat 25 Bosses
- Be at least Level 5,000
Once those are done, you can use your Dungeon Key to spawn the dungeon and start running it. Runes are not a guaranteed drop, so you'll likely need to run it multiple times before one shows up. Stick to the greatest difficulty you can clear comfortably for the best drop odds.
Runes Drop Rates
The drop rate for Runes scales based on both difficulty and how far into the dungeon you get. Here's a look at the drop rates for a few of the runes across different difficulties and wave checkpoints:

All Sailor Piece Runes and Their Stats
There are currently nine runes in Sailor Piece. All of them drop from the Rune Dungeon, and no specific rune appears to be rarer than another. It's all random. Each rune can be leveled up to level 50 by collecting duplicates. You need 502 total Runes to reach max level, so farming is really a long-term commitment here.

How to Equip Runes in Sailor Piece
Equipping a Rune is simple once you have one. Here are the steps:
- Open your inventory, then scroll right until you see the Rune tab.
- Click on it, find the Rune you want to use.
- Select to equip it to your character.
You can only have one Rune equipped at a time, so pick the one that fits your current build best. If you get duplicates, don't throw them away, because each duplicate counts as 1 EXP toward leveling up your Rune. Since you need 502 total Runes to max one out, every extra drop counts.
